Family in town for graduation?

Cat cafes near STL are super cute and a good way to relax and de-stress. You can pet the cats and even adopt them if that’s something you’re interested in.

Restaurants on Delmar tend to be really busy during weekends while families are in town. I’d recommend trying a restaurant in the Central West End. One of my favorites is Brasserie by Niche!

A lot of restaurants around campus might be booked, but Spring in STL is gorgeous! Stop by United Provisions or another grocery store — or even get takeout from a restaurant on the loop — and head over to Art Hill in Forest Park for a picnic. It also doubles as a great location for last-minute graduation photos!

I'm a huge advocate of the Tower Grove Farmers’ Market. It's the perfect summer activity to show your parents how much St. Louis has to offer. Tower Grove offers such a wide range of goods, from pottery mugs to flowers. The vendors are nice, there are adorable dogs everywhere, and it also has great local food options. On a sunny summer Saturday morning, there's nothing better than a nice Tower Grove visit.

Are you a nerd? Is your family nerdy? Well, St. Louis' hottest club is the top floor of Olin Library. Check out this silent getaway where you can soak in the old book smell and occasionally hear a squeaky cart get pushed around. It is a paradise like no other, and a “must-see” with your parents and extended family. Just be sure to let them know that there is no seating and that the library closes earlier and earlier every single day.
