Join us for short-term study at Washington Academy, a private, independent high school since 1792. Washington Academy’s Short-Term Study Abroad program is for students in grades 9-12 who desire to study in the USA for a shorter time than a traditional high school program. You tell us how long you want to stay - one month, two months, or just one semester!
SUMMER During the summer, WA provides a robust adventure-based learning environment in combination with academic content in and outside the classroom. All content, field trips, and classes are taught by Washington Academy faculty. You are invited to experience this unique learning opportunity on our 75-acre campus as a stand-alone summer program. Typically paired with dual diploma and credit-earning options, this summer opportunity can be easily converted at a later date to add a dual diploma and/or credit option.
SHORT-TERM During the school year, Washington Academy’s curriculum combines its comprehensive courses with opportunities to explore a unique environment on the rocky coast of Maine. Our short-term studies include a flexible schedule of 9week classes. You can complete several courses in one quarter of the year. Have only a month in between your school’s terms? We can customize a short program for you, giving you the best possible experience in a short stay at Washington Academy.
