WHAT IS PA SSIVE FIRE PRODUCT CERTIFICATION? Certification is the process of certifying that a product has passed relevant fire and/or quality assurance tests based on Australian standards, along with additional criteria defined in the certification scheme. An important part of the Certifire scheme is our ongoing factory auditing requirements. These ensure that a mass-produced product maintains the same quality as its original tested product. WHY DO WE NEED PA SSIVE FIRE CERTIFICATION IN AUSTR ALIA? Presently, manufacturers providing products to the Australian market perform fire resistance testing on their products to the relevant Australian or international standard. They then manufacture and sell that product based on the performance of a single test. How can an end user then be confident that the quality of the product is maintained? Even if there is no intentional change to the manufacturing process, over time, changes to equipment, staff, experience and the source of the raw materials will have an impact on the overall quality of the product. Certifire creates added assurance for manufacturers and provides confidence for end users. WHAT DOES THE WARRINGTONFIRE AUSTR ALIA CERTIFIRE SCHEME INVOLVE?
