GENERAL INFO

FROM THE DIRECTOR

Chris Deal Parks & Rec Director chris.deal@warrensburg-mo.com

July 2024

Greetings from the Warrensburg Parks & Recreation Department, on behalf of the Parks & Recreation Board and Staff. We hope you have had a wonderful summer and thank you to all who have participated in our programs and facilities over this past summer. Whether it was at our very popular Summer Day Camp, the Nassif Outdoor Pool, our Sports Programs, our 9 area parks, or the 6 new Pickleball Courts that opened this summer. Thank you again to the Blaine Whitworth Foundation, who donated the funds for these new courts. Watch for future leagues and tournaments to be played on the new Pickleball Courts, coming soon.

We are excited to announce that the Indoor Pool Renovation is scheduled to be completed by the fifth of September, with the Indoor Pool reopening on September 9th. The Indoor Pool is being completely renovated with new tile and plaster surface, which is like the top swimming pools you will see throughout the country. Thank you for your patience during this improvement project.

We have several programs and special events to participate in this year and we continue to make improvements in our Youth Sports Division with the development of the new West Central League, more info on page 22.

Thank you again for your participation in our Parks & Recreation programs and events and please contact myself or our staff with any comments or suggestions. We are here to serve YOU!
