Greetings to the Warrensburg community, we hope you will take advantage of the new opportunities being offered by your Warrensburg Parks & Recreation Department. Over the past 6 months, our membership at the Community Center has increased by over 1,000 new members. We have repainted the fitness center and added over $60,000 in new equipment through the Marian H. Glazebrook Estate. We added new Building Supervisors for better supervision and improved organization throughout our facility and grounds. We have had some challenges with our Swimming Pools mechanics, as much of this equipment is older, and needs replacing. But we are meeting this challenge head on, with the addition of new equipment to last years into the future. We appreciate your patience with our endeavors towards continued improvements to our facilities. We have added to our parks new entrance signs, with volunteer groups being a part of the landscaping around the park signs, and we are adding new Pickleball Courts, which is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. The Courts will be located at Grover Park, next to the Community Center. We also want to extend a special thank you to the Public Works Department for all their hard work on park projects and maintenance over this past year. They have done an outstanding job and we greatly appreciate it. In closing, please look over the Activity Guide for our fall programs and events, discounts on membership for corporations and military personnel and their families. Cancel at any time with no penalty, but you must cancel on or before the 10th of the month in order to avoid being billed for the next month. Whether you want to get in shape, go for a swim, hold a business meeting, family reunion or birthday party, or just hang out with friends and have fun, the Warrensburg Community Center (WCC) is a great place for you! We have NEW EQUIPMENT debuting this Summer including new treadmills, weight benches, and stationary equipment!
Fitness Center We offer a wide variety of fitness equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes (recumbent and upright), weight machines, free weights, kettle bells, exercise balls and much more! Exercise and fitness classes for all ages are held daily in the state-of-the-art aerobics room.
Walking Track Our walking track circles the community center on the 2nd level and overlooks the Indoor Pool area and is free to use with check-in at the front desk. 11⅓ laps around the track equals 1 mile. Anyone under 18 years old must have a signed youth contract & be at least 16 years old.
WCC Indoor Aquatic Center Features a lap and leisure pool, hot tub, zero-entry splash pool with 2 slides, mushroom fountain, and pool!
7 Reservable Rooms Can accommodate meetings, special family events, and programs of all shapes and sizes. Whether hosting a small event or one for 200, Warrensburg Parks & Recreation (WPR) can help! See details on Pages 5-6.

• Facilities reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance. Requests under 14 days in advance must be approved by management and may be subject to additional fees.
• Facilities may be reserved up to 90 days in advance with full payment.
• Decorations are only allowed on tables. No confetti, wall and/or ceiling decorations allowed. Tableware and linens are not provided.
• Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in park buildings, or on any park grounds.
• All park buildings are smoke free.
• Dances are not permitted without prior management approval.
• Entry to rooms/buildings is not permitted prior to the reservation time. Set-ups & cleanup must be included in the reserved time. Fees will be charged for early arrivals and late departures.
• Field reservations are subject to availability/field conditions and may be reserved no more than 1 month in advance. WPR sanctioned games and practices take priority over outside rentals.
• Cancellation/Refund requests should be made at least 30 days prior to rental date. A $5 fee will be assessed if approved. No refunds for requests less than 15 days before reserved date

Nestled in the southwestern suburb of Warresnburg you'll find the beautiful Lions Lake. This lake provides one of the best sunset views in all of Warrensburg and is a great hideaway for picnicing, fishing, and hiking. Follow the lake trail around to our secret playground at the top of the hill where you can overlook the lake and wildlife below as kids play amongst the forest wildlife. The adjunct Culp Park Trails take hikers through thick wooded trails where you are sure to forget you’re anywhere near a city. Bring your dog out on a stroll along the lake or on the trails. For those who would like to sit there are plenty of benchs to take all the wonder in.

The top three homes will be rewarded with a nice sign placed in their yard. Contest is open to all Warrensburg residents! Flashlight candy cane hunt in Grover Park. Special prize for finding the special candy cane. Bring your own flashlight. We will have holiday crafts, table and yard games. LEAGUE FORMAT: Each team will play a 6 game regular season schedule followed by a single elimination tournament. Games will be played with rally scoring to 25 and best 2 out of 3 wins the match.
EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: WPR will provide officials and practice/games balls.

PROGRAM FORMAT: This instructional program is geared toward ages 5-6. Kids will play on modified courts and goals. Teams will be formed by staff prior to the start of the program. Volunteer Coaches Are Needed.
EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: Practice/Game balls, and each participant will receive an official WPR Little Hoopsters shirt to be worn for games and practices.
PRACTICE/GAME DAYS: Practices will be held Tuesdays for one hour between 5:30pm-7:30pm. Forty-five minute games will be played on Thursdays starting at 5:30pm-6:30pm.

BITTY BASKETBALL

PROGRAM FORMAT: COED program designed for children ages 3-4 years old lasting for 5 weeks. This program is a great way to introduce a child to the sport of basketball. Kids rotate between 3 drill stations at timed intervals. Stations include dribbling, passing, and shooting. Parents are encouraged to participate and join in on the fun!

MEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE

LEAGUE FORMAT: Each team will play a 7 game regular season schedule followed by a single elimination tournament.(Guaranteed games are subject to change depending on registration numbers.) Games will consist of two twenty-minute halves. A $100 deposit is due at the time of registration, with the remainder due by the day of your team's first scheduled game.
EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: WPR will provide officials and Practice/Games balls.
GAME DAYS: Games will be played on Monday or Wednesday evenings. Wednesday will be the primary game night.
AGE: 18+
LOCATION: All games and practices will be played at the Warrensburg Community Center
MANAGERS MEETING: Week of January 10th, 2024.

Recreation Programs – Refunds may be given for injury or illness (with doctor's note). 100% refund if cancelled by WPR. Prorated if program has begun. No refund after program is completed. Sports/Athletics – Full or prorated refunds may be given based on date of request, less processing fees. No refund after schedule is released. Special rules apply to Team Sports.
Membership Passes – Only Annual Memberships are eligible. Prorated, less processing fees.
Facility Rentals – 30 days before: 100% refund less processing fee. 15-29 days before: 50% refund. 0-14 days before: No refund.
Shelter Rentals – Non-Refundable.
