FREQUENTLY ASKED questions
CAN I DO MY SESSION INDOORS?
We certainly have recommendations on indoor locations, although you will need to look into reservations and photography permits for the location you prefer These are the indoor location ideas we propose
MUSEUMS
Art museums (ie The Museum of Fine Art, Houston and the Asia Society Texas Center) usually provide sleek and stylish spaces and are often near beautiful outdoor spaces An entrance fee or reservation will be required
HOTELS
Book a space at a downtown Houston hotel (ie the C Baldwin, Hotel Icon, The Laura) - this gives us access to inside spaces & *rooftops*
RESTAURANTS
Pick a great restaurant that you love in an urban area and make a reservation Be sure to notify the staff that you will have some pictures before you sit down to eat We can start photos outside, and end with organic photos of the two of you inside the restaurant - session ends and you eat!
COFFEE SHOPS
If you are all about cuddling in cozy coffee shops, this is a great option You will need to talk to the staff in advance to reserve the space
WEDDING VENUE
Some couples love their venue so much that they do some of their Engagement portraits on location
PERFORMANCE CENTERS
Some theaters and performance halls allow photography sessions and offer grand spaces reserved for private groups at an hourly rate
PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO
For something really unique and fun, we can rent time at a studio (the Peerspace is fantastic) and then finish the session outside
AIRBNBS
Believe it or not, there are stunning rentals with remarkably designed interiors and great city views These range in feeling from cozy to chic and can be customizable to exactly what you want Need recommendations? We know a few rentals you might like to check out
HOME
If you love the interior of your home, and you have plenty of bright window light and light colored walls, this may be a possibility for your session There is nothing so personal as doing part of your session where your heart and soul reside
CAN WE USE A ROOFTOP FOR OUR SESSION?
Rooftops are always an incredible idea for stunning engagement photos! There are many hotels, parking garages and restaurants that have great rooftop/skyline views Most of these locations require photography permits for sessions You will be responsible for contacting the hotel, restaurant or garage to obtain the permit Let us know which location you have selected and when you have obtained your permit Alternatively, there are many city locations that have great skyline/city views, even without being on a rooftop
SKYLINE AND CITY VIEWS
Buffalo Bayou Park, Hermann Park

I HAVE MULTIPLE OUTFITS. WHERE AT MY LOCATION CAN I CHANGE?
We love various fashion looks at Engagement Sessions, and it is so fun when couples bring multiple outfits Some locations may prohibit changing in public restrooms. Other locations, like downtown city areas, do not have “ on site bathrooms” or areas to change While some areas have coffee shops or other businesses with restrooms, they often require patronage for bathroom use. So it is a good idea to prepare your mind that multiple outfits may involve changing outfits in your car
