TOUR IN VENICE FOR DISABLED
These are structured routes to be accessible to wheelchairs. These itineraries may be held: only by boat along the lagoon of Venice, or mixed, by boat and in the city, along routes without architectural barriers identified by the City of Venice. The boat we use was specifically designed to allow easy entry and exit for people with reduced mobility or in wheelchairs (even electrical), and a safe and stable placement on the deck of the boat itself. The boat is equipped with comfortable sofas, coffee table and double awning shading, making it an authentic sailing lounge.
There are several possible routes: Standard Tour: Northern Lagoon (full day) Murano, Burano, Torcello, San Francesco del Deserto. Classic Venice (half day) Navigation till Venice – Guided visit of the San Marco's highlights (Doge's Palace + Basilica). Complete Venice (full day) Navigation till Venice – Guided visit of the San Marco's area (Doge's Palace + Basilica + San Marco Square) + Guided visit of another part of Venice. Glass and Lace (half day) Murano (visit to a glass laboratory) – Burano (excursion to the island of colours and lace). Wine, honey and market gardens of Venice (half day) Saturdays and Sundays only. Guided tour of the “Flavors of Sant’Erasmo” and visit to the beekeeper Elio. San Lazzaro degli Armeni (half day) Tour to the monastery and museum of San Lazzaro degli Armeni – visit to the Island of San Servolo. Romantic tour (evening: 21.00 – 23.30) From Treporti to San Marco. 30’ stop in St Mark’s square. The tours are proposed: or "pilot only" or "with guide on board."
The boat can accommodate up to 12 people, with these precautions: if they are in a wheelchair, 4 (of which a maximum of 2 electrical); in addition 3 other people to be transferred on the sofas, whose wheelchairs are folded on the stern. Plus accompanying persons. In the tours that last a full day you can have lunch on the boat (moored to a bank or at anchor in quiet channels) or land in some island and have lunch in a restaurant.
