2019 WALL STREET ALPHAS IMPACT SYMPOSIUM On February 16, 2019, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated - Kappa Xi Lambda Chapter hosted The Wall Street Alphas’ IMPACT Symposium. The IMPACT Symposium is an annual Black History Month event designed to highlight the efforts of AfricanAmerican impact in different areas of society.

The 2019 topic was Historically Black Colleges and Universities; their place in history, their relevance in today’s society and their role in the future.

Presented in partnership with Grand St. Settlement, the symposium featured a panel discussion and small group sessions with historically Black college and university (HBCU) alumni. Hosted by entertainment correspondent and Wall Street Alphas Chapter Brother James Terrell (Southern University A&M College - ’07) and New York based fashion designer Olivia Anthony (Alabama State University – ’13), the panel discussion featured the personal stories of Goldman Sachs Technology Analyst and founder of the podcast Walk By Faith Jasmine Stith (Prairie View A&M University ’17) and former Information Services Specialist under former President Barack Obama and Executive Director of the Hustlers Guild Yasmin Salina (Alabama State University – ’09). One highlight of the event was as surprise performance by the Marching Cobra Drumline.

2019 WALL STREET ALPHAS IMPACT SYMPOSIUMÂ The symposium brought out over 65 students, over 25 alumnus from ten HBCUs, several members of multiple fraternities and sororities and a representation from the United Negro College Fund. Several Historically Black Colleges and Universities demonstrated their support by providing marketing materials and donating items that were given away to student attendees.
