A message from the president Our annual Awards Celebration is an opportunity to celebrate the mission of Walla Walla University, and especially the core value of excellence in thought. For generations, thoughtful and generous donors have supported this core value by contributing to scholarships for WWU students. If you are among those who have provided this support, thank you! Your generosity supports our mission, and it has made a profound difference in the lives of students. This year, we recognize the achievements of students who earned 933 awards, and the blessing of $1,370,504 drawn from more than 239 different scholarship funds, as reflected in this program. In addition to the awards, the Student Financial Services Office awarded a total of 629 grants and financial aids totaling $1,577,185 during the 2025-2026 academic year. A message from the Advancement Office These lines filling several pages represent blessings for hundreds of our students, many of which are transformative. Without your generous and ongoing financial support, many of them wouldn’t be able to achieve their dreams. In today's economical context, scholarships and financial aid are essential for Walla Walla University to fulfill its mission. This booklet has three sections. Each section shows which department is awarding the fund, the total amount awarded, how many students received it, and the purpose of the fund. Annual Scholarships These scholarships and awards are funded yearly by donors, and all available funds may be spent. Endowment Scholarships These scholarships and awards generate interest every year and are awarded to students without touching the principal. The threshold for creating a new fund is $25,000. Grants These financial aid funds provide Walla Walla University’s Student Financial Services Office with necessary resources to support our students facing urgent financial needs. Whether you contribute annually to scholarships, invest in perpetual financial support through an endowment, or support our students facing emergency crises through grants, we want to express our gratitude for generously partnering with us.
