NFR Wraps Up in Vegas

By Wade Thibodeaux The National Finals Rodeo wrapped up the 2021 performances at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas in dramatic fashion with
some World Champion titles not decided until the final night of the 10 performances. This year’s rodeo had some different twists to it as Stetson Wright walked
away from the Finals as a two event champion for the second year in a row, but as opposed to 2020 when he was Bull Riding and All (contd on page 8)
On December 12, 2021 at approximately 4:07pm, the Huntsville Police Department was called about a welfare concern. A third party caller advised police dispatch that her daughter had called her, stating that she had shot her husband and was now
going to kill herself. Huntsville Police Officers responded to a private residence in the 1500 block of Ave P, where a perimeter was established and contact with the subject was attempted. Huntsville Police Department’s SWAT team was activated as well
as a Huntsville Police Negotiator. Despite numerous attempts to contact the subject, no contact was made. The SWAT team forcibly opened the front door to the residence and a small unmanned aerial drone was deployed. Using the camera (contd on page 9)
