Marty Haggard takes a break from singing to tell a story about some of his Dad’s music.

By Wade Thibodeaux   Marty Haggard made a return trip to the Old Town Theatre last Saturday, September 11, 2021 and performed on stage singing his Dad’s songs and telling the stories behind the music. His first hand knowledge of the writing, composing, singing and traveling of the music of Merle Haggard was as interesting and entertaining as the singing that he performed. He would take requests

from the audience and then either perform the song or tell a little about the origins of that particular song and then sing his version. He continued to perform well past his allotted time and then ventured up to the lobby of the theatre to greet fans and sign autographs.
