Thursday, July 1, 2021 at their location in the Midway Shopping Center. The flower shop missed their one year anniversary last year because of the Covid-19 pandemic and so they decided to have a two year anniversary celebration. A good crowd was on hand to assist in the celebration and Sweet Karoline’s provided snow cones to help cool everybody from the heat.

Fireworks Fill the Skies Over Huntsville

New Waverly Hosts Annual July 4th Event By Wade Thibodeaux The legendary Gene Watson performed at the Old Town Theatre last Friday, July 2, 2021 to a packed house and did not disappoint those who came to hear him sing. He took the stage and belted out hit song after hit song for an hour and a half during his performance that
was delayed for a year due to Covid-19. He was originally scheduled to be at the theatre last Summer, but had to be rescheduled due to the pandemic. The next event scheduled for Old Town Theatre is a world famous Elvis tribute by Travis Powell that is scheduled for August 7, 2021 at 6:00 pm.
The place was packed for the annual auction for the New Waverly 4-H and VFD July 4th celebration.
By Wade Thibodeaux After a modified event last year due to Covid-19, the New Waverly 4-H and VFD were back in full swing with their annual fundraiser last Sunday, July 4, 2021. The event was moved to the New Waverly Elementary School to allow a little more social distancing, (contd on page 8)
