By Wade Thibodeaux   The Sam Houston Bearkats are undefeated this year, have made their way through the playoff bracket, and are headed to the Championship Game at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas this Sunday at 1:00 pm. By Wade Thibodeaux  The annual Walker County Fair and Rodeo Bar-B-Que Cook-Off was held last weekend,

May 7-8, 2021 at the fairgrounds. The event was a little later than usual due to some planning difficulties thanks

to the Covid situation and the fact that rules for gathering and social distancing were changing on a somewhat daily basis. However, some 35 teams showed up and gave it their best shot to win the championship. The event is normally held in conjunction with the annual fair and rodeo in April, but things were a little different in (contd on page 10)
