By Wade Thibodeaux The Huntsville City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, May 5 2020 at 6:00 pm. via teleconference. The Council reluctantly accepted the resignation of long standing City Councilman at large position 1 Paul Davidhizar. Much discussion was held on this topic as well as the appointment of his replacement. Walker County Corona Virus Update By Wade Thibodeaux The latest information about the Covid-19 situation in Walker County as of press time has a total of 128 positive cases for the residents and 226 positive cases for TDCJ offenders. So far

38 of the residents have recovered or “Graduated out” and one fatality is being reported in the residents. Fifteen fatalities total have been reported in three of the prison units located in Walker County (Byrd-

1, Estelle-4, and Wynne-10). Updates to this situation are posted regularly to Walker County Press’s Facebook page and the complete report can be found there.

ton. The group has been performing fly overs all around the United States to show support and gratitude for the first responders and medical personnel who are on the front lines of the

fight against the Corona Virus. After the Blue Angels made a few loops around the Houston area they headed over to New Orleans to offer those guys and gals some support as well.
