"It is with both great honor and a bit of sadness that I reflect on my final experience in Waldron Mercy Academy’s productions Waldron’s theater program has been a place where I have developed a strong sense of teamwork, learned to step outside my comfort zone even when nervous, and discovered what it truly means to be part of something much larger than myself I am elated to say that these productions and the months of disciplined preparation that go into them have helped to shape me from a timid 4th-grade girl to an 8th-grade young lady who embraces any opportunity that comes my way with open arms The guidance and feedback given to me here will forever serve me as I continue performing throughout my life I extend my sincere thanks to all of my mentors Mr Borton, Mrs Seri, Mrs Fishburne, Ms Rissover, Ms McEntee, Ms Baldwin, Ms DeSanto, Mr McCarter, Mrs Newcomer, Mrs Gilbert, Mrs Kinson, and all parent and teacher volunteers who have worked to create these wonderful productions for fostering a theater environment where I feel encouraged to express myself, make mistakes and grow from them, and find my voice I also want to give a huge thank you to my loving mom and dad, who have always been there for me and supported me, allowing me to feel like the biggest star, no matter my role, big or small For that, I could not be more grateful Although I am disheartened to see this chapter of my life come to an end, I look forward to carrying everything I have learned at Waldron into the next stage of my journey"

"I started theater in first grade at an acting studio and I loved it, but my love for theatre really started to expand in second grade when the show at Waldron was "Pirates 2, The Hidden Treasure" I really enjoyed doing the show before Covid, and started doing theatre every year after I did every show from "The Wizard of Oz" to "Hawaiian Beach Party" It's because of the theatre program here at Waldron that inspired me to continue to do theatre, and the reason I will keep doing it throughout high school I also want to thank Ms Baldwin, who retired last year, and Mr Borton, who both played a huge part in my theatre journey here at Waldron, and always supported me and everyone else in the cast My mom is another person I want to thank She has driven me to practices, goes to every night of the shows, and has devoted hours to support me in my theatre journey If you aren't doing theatre now, because you're in first grade or you haven't tried it yet, I deeply encourage you to do it because it's one of the best experiences you'll have during your time here at Waldron "
