IN MEMORIAM

LAUREN ANDERSON ’18 & VINCE VENTO ‘17

During our 8th grade retreat this past June, alumni Lauren Anderson ‘18 and Vince Vento ‘17 spoke to our Class of 2022 and shared some wisdom for the graduates.

Vince told the 8th graders to “appreciate their time at Waldron because, after graduating high school and finishing one year at Georgetown, I can promise that everything you learn at Waldron sets a strong base for future education.” He added that he would recommend “trying to find ways of giving back to underserved communities in ways that also interest you; not all service has to look the exact same.”

Lauren shared her belief that WMA “thoroughly prepares students as they go off to high school. I know this because I was able to succeed in high school thanks to Waldron’s strong emphasis on academics, athletics, and service.” Her best advice for the Class of 2022 was that “high school is about finding yourself so step outside of your comfort zone and try that new class, sport, and club!”

Thank you to Lauren and Vince for speaking with the Class of 2022 and sharing these thoughts!
