...and so much more! It’s finally here! Tim and Bev Walden

share their philosophies, thoughts, posing tips and imagery on their iconic Relationship Black and White Portraiture.

PHILOSOPHY.. From the very beginning of our journey into Black and White Relationship portraiture, we knew these things would define this segment of our portraiture.

TELL A STORY-They needed to tell a story about the people we were photographing. The idea was this ,”Behind every face, there is a story.” The story could be sad or glad, deeply personal or simply celebrating a birthday...but we wanted to tell the story, whatever it was. This involved us meeting with the people we were photographing at some point before the session to get their storythis was the beginning of forming a relationship with them that would carry over into the camera room and session. In fact, we started to realize that the relationship we formed was the key to portraying their stories in our portraiture, for without the relationship, their walls were never let down for us to see the “real story.”

“Listen, but not only with your ears. Listen with your heart and soon, you will hear the story.”
