ESSEX COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

Every Thursday, the Essex County Sheriff’s Office and 7 Essex County Executive run an emergency food distribution, including a recent stop at Glenfield Park in Montclair. 7 A quick photo before work

BLANKETS OF HOPE

Columbia Bank Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs and Blankets of Hope in Newark teamed up to make a difference in the lives of the homeless. Together, the organizations wrapped and delivered 1,440 blankets and messages of hope to residents throughout New Jersey. 1–3 Volunteers of all ages contributed to the Blankets of Hope initiative for New Jersey’s homeless population.

YMCA OF MONTCLAIR

Every other Wednesday, staff members at the YMCA of Montclair deliver grocery boxes to senior citizens who have limited mobility. The Y recently partnered with Rao’s Homemade to donate pasta and sauce to those in need. 7 YMCA staff prepare food deliveries.

NEWARK TRUST FOR EDUCATION

This spring, the Newark Trust for Education (NTE) supplied 140 Chromebooks to qualifying studentts in first through eighth grades. The computers were used by students to access education, job training, healthcare and socialization resources. 4 NTE volunteers and parents hand out Chromebooks. 5 Izabelle Denize takes inventory of the computers.

PARSIPPANY POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Parsippany Police Department continues to receive support from the community. Evening shift officers were presented free dinners courtesy of BioOne and The Cafe at Fox Hill. 8 Representatives from BioOne and The Cafe at Fox Hill drop off dinners at the Parsippany Police Department.
