The awards dinner recognises AGITO students work for the past twelve months. Also awarded are the prizes for the annual AGITO skills day. Skills day is the annual event organised by the regional committee which tests trainees on seven different skills. This year there were sixty-nine registered participants.

Awards to Wairarapa Moana Farm staff Level 2/3 Merit Award: Johan Mulder. Johan has recently started working on Farm 11. Level 2/3 NCA Dairy Practical Prize: Richard Clark. Richard is a farm assistant on Farm 14.

Level 2/3 NCA Dairy Theory Prize: Sharlene Aldridge. Sharlene worked as herd manager on Farm 9 last season and has recently moved to Farm 1 as second-in-charge.

Immigrant Showing Promise in NZ Farming Industry: Pieter and Anna Nortje. Pieter was second-incharge on Farm 14 last season and has moved on to a sharemilking position in Tokoroa.
