Student Center - Interior Design Project

Current Condition The large courtyard is 306 square meters, while the two small courtyards are 105 square meters each, They are exposed to the following factors: Heat: Sunlight enters directly into the courtyard through the glass ceiling, which leads to a high temperature inside, as the user can not sit in the courtyard during the summer, and the height of the glass ceiling is 9 meters, which leads to the retention of extreme heat inside the courtyard.

Lighting: Lighting enters the courtyard directly through the glass ceiling, disturbing the vision of students.

Given that most of the students use their laptops to work, this disturbance makes working more difficult.

Ventilation: The courtyard does not contain any source of natural ventilation, as the courtyard is above a fully enclosed glass roof.

Echo: There is a high frequency of sound echo due to the large courtyard area, which causes inconvenience to users and there is no sound absorbing material.

Furniture: The courtyard does not contain tables, chairs or any Furniture for students to use and practice their activities.
