parabelt® Description parabelt® is a daily-wear, non-sterile ratcheting tourniquet belt. It is intended for short term use to be wrapped around a patient’s limb and tightened to reduce circulation and therefore control severe bleeding of the arms and legs. The belt is 1.75 inches. The colors options are black or tan, available in all sizes. parabelt® comes in 5 different sizes from small to XXL.

Indication Place 2-3 inches above the wound site and thread the buckle.

Insert thumb into the loop and securely tighten the belt. Lift lever arm repeatedly to tighten the tourniquet until the bleeding stops. Release the tourniquet by placing finger under tab marked “lift to open”.

If difficult to release, lift ratchet lever arm while pulling tab.
