Unlock Your Potential

If you have any specific questions about these Master’s degree programmes, please feel free to ask the lecturers before or after the information sessions or visit the information fair.

Premaster assessment questions?

Visit the information booth of the Premasterassessment/Student Desk & Administration or go to vu.nl/premaster

Food and beverages

You can buy sandwiches at the coffee corners on the ground and first floor of the Main Building, the restaurant of NU building and the Spar supermarket (campus square).

Moving around

We expect a large number of visitors today. Because of the expected crowds at the elevator we recommend you to use the different staircases.

Have you ever considered teaching?

Education defines what tomorrow’s world will look like. Teachers play a significant role in this. Have you ever had a teacher who was an amazing storyteller or one who was able to turn a difficult subject into an enjoyable one? Teachers like that make a huge difference and leave a memorable impression. Become a teacher yourself and inspire a new generation. Want to learn more? Join an information session of one of our the teaching programmes or visit the information booth.

Note: our teacher training programmes are taught in Dutch and train you to become a teacher in secondary school education in the Netherlands.

Meet our faculties

All faculties are present at the information fair, except for ACTA (Dentistry). Please consult the floor plan for the exact locations of the information booths of all Master’s programmes.

Culture on campus

Want to enjoy arts and culture alongside your studies? There are several possibilities on the VU campus! All the cultural offerings come together in the NU building at De Boelelaan 1111.

VU Griffioen

In our own theatre Griffioen you will find everything from cabaret to theatre, music and dance, from big names to new talents. And you can also go there for all kinds of courses, such as dance, music, writing, photography and much more. Students get discounts on performances and courses, of course. griffioen.vu.nl

Rialto VU

The NU building is also home to the Rialto VU film theatre. In 4 state-of-the-art movie theatres, you can enjoy a wide range of films, specials and festivals.

VU ART SCIENCE gallery

Did you know that VU Amsterdam has its own art gallery? And not just a regular gallery, this one is all about the cross-pollination between art and science: artists who are influenced by scientific insights and developments and scientists who reflect on the art exhibited in this VU ART SCIENCE gallery. Visit the current exhibition in the gallery during VU Master’s Event. artsciencegallery.nl

Bar Boele

At Bar Boele, the cultural café in the NU building, it’s warm and cozy! Come and enjoy the menu of locally and sustainably produced (vega) dishes. Tasty coffee, smoothies, the famous fries and various drinks are waiting for you. The perfect start and end to your cultural visit!

International visitors

For international students there is an information session organized by our International Office: ‘How to apply and what to expect’. This session is held in round 3, room 2A-33. An international officer will be able to answer your questions about admission, visa, accommodation, scholarships etc.
