The new season has arrived and has come in the most chic of packages: this winter not only brings us freezing temperatures and snow, but also the exquisite fabrics and sublime shoes that we love to attire ourselves in. In this issue of Trendsylvania, we provide an insight into the news of the fashion world.

On the following pages, we wish to make some fashion statements.

How better could this be done than with the fabulous shoes, purses and accessories inspired by the most important catwalk trends of the season?

Although it may get a little decadent, these are entirely appropriate for the festive season: gold, velvet and majestic patterns are what we present in our GET THE LOOK. Our Editorial is truly monumental, for which we shot some very special and unusual models.

Punk but still sexy — the underground culture of the '80s has been the main influence for many designers this season. At Vivienne Westwood, punk components are accentuated by the bold designs, with metallic nuances and elements also providing an ‘edgy’ touch, like the stud trimming on the oversized sweaters by Fausto Puglisi. Moreover, the Grunge impression is provided by pins, patches and dark sneakers — as well sexy outfits!

Shearling and Suede are the highlights of this winter’s Warm Chic. It is obvious that, besides the jackets and coats as seen at Prada or Tory Burch, shoes especially play a major role: not only smart and fancy, but these two smooth fabrics are probably the coziest materials for winter. The fluffy inner lining peeps out from beneath the shoe uppers on ankle and combi boots. Pompoms are playful eyecatchers on leather purses and beanies.

The Winter Bomber Jacket The bomber jacket is probably not only the most comfortable, but also the most easygoing item of clothing for transitioning time. We really dislike exchanging this fashion it-piece in winter for big down jackets.

Luckily, this season we don’t need to do so. The new jackets are lined, made of wool or equipped with fur collars to take the plunge from a fall to a winter jacket!
