Golden Club Breakfast:

A CELEBRATION OF HARMONY, MUSIC AND COMMUNITY!

Rooted in the spirit of togetherness, the annual Golden Club Breakfast has become a cherished tradition in the Valley Park community, celebrating unity, talent and joy. Hosted at the Valley Park School District Field House, this special event brings students and community members together for a morning of vibrant performances, a delicious breakfast and a shared appreciation for our talented students. This year’s gathering showcased delightful acts by our third-grade and early childhood students, as well as impressive performances by the secondary choirs and solo band musicians.

Valley Park FCCLA Takes First Place at Missouri LifeSmarts Quiz Bowl, Advances to Nationals!

Congratulations to juniors Leah Gruendler, Steven Ermer, Owen Royal, Peter Grittini, and Braydon Kiefer on their incredible achievement at the Missouri State LifeSmarts Quiz Bowl!

On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, these talented students from Valley Park FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) competed in the state championship and clinched first place, earning their spot at the LifeSmarts National Championship in Chicago, IL, this April.

The LifeSmarts Quiz Bowl is a fast-paced, teambased competition that puts students' knowledge to the test in real-world areas such as personal finance, consumer rights, health and safety, the environment, and technology. This engaging competition not only challenges their skills but also helps them build critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence in a game-show-style setting.

South Tech Electronics & Robotics Engineering Students Win Silver at SkillsUSA Missouri Quiz Bowl!

Congratulations to Maggie Lencz ’25 and the South Tech Electronics, Robotics, and Engineering Quiz Bowl Team for securing silver in the SkillsUSA Missouri Quiz Bowl! Their impressive performance has earned them a spot at the State competition—a fantastic achievement! Best of luck to you all as you advance to State in Linn, MO, April 10th - 12th.

Talented Hawks Secure Spots in Missouri State Solo and Ensemble Contest

Congratulations to Jermisha Lewis ’26 (soprano) and Isabel Inman ’26 (alto) for earning their welldeserved spots in the Missouri State Solo and Ensemble Contest with their exceptional solo performances! We are excited to see them showcase their talents at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival at Mizzou on Saturday, May 3rd.

Congratulations to Christian Werner, Awarded The SSD Key to the Classroom The Key to the Classroom Award recognizes teachers who make an extraordinary impact on their students, colleagues, and school communities. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate Valley Park’s very own Christian Werner, one of just ten outstanding educators whose dedication and passion have earned her this prestigious honor. Her commitment to student success has also placed her in the running for SSD Teacher of the Year recognition.

“Christian has created a safe space for any student who may need it,” shared her colleagues, Danielle Fox and Shana Doerr. “Her kind nature makes students feel comfortable, heard, and seen. She helps every student realize their potential and supports them in turning their hard work into progress. A student recently celebrated Christian, saying, ‘Mrs. Werner listens to me when I need someone to talk to and is always there for me.’ She embodies belonging and inclusion in every role she takes on within the school community.”
