Donuts with Grownups had an overwhelming turnout of more than 375 guests which showcased the strong sense of community the Valley Park School District is know for. Parents were grateful for the opportunity to connect with other families and share experiences about their year so far. Crafts, games, and stories were available and encouraged families to engage in collaborative and creative activities. The school's staff and parent volunteers were essential in facilitating these activities, ensuring that everyone felt welcome and involved. Donuts with Grownups at Valley Park Elementary School was not just about enjoying sweet treats; it was a celebration of community, family, and the bonds that make education a collaborative journey.

In Case of Emergency... Occasionally, severe weather conditions or other emergencies make it necessary to close school. The Superintendent tries to make the decision to close school by 5:30 a.m., or earlier if possible. When classes are postponed or canceled, a phone & text message will be sent out to all students, parents and legal guardians through Infinite Campus. School closings are also broadcast on KMOX (AM 1120) and TV stations KSDK Channel 5, KMOV Channel 4 and FOX Channel 2 & Channel 11; and are posted on the District’s website www.vpschools.org, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
$80,000 SECURITY GRANT AWARDED TO VALLEY PARK SCHOOL DISTRICT We are excited to share that the Valley Park School District has been awarded an $80,000 School Safety Grant for FY24 from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)! The district is currently in the process of identifying safety projects that align with our long-range facility master plan and also adhere to the grant guidelines. By investing in physical safety improvements, we are taking proactive steps to ensure that our learning environments foster growth, curiosity, and success. Together, we are creating a future where every student feels secure, valued, and ready to embrace the limitless possibilities of education.
