A VANTAGE POINT RETIREMENT LIVING NEWSLETTER
Winter 2024
A Letter From...
Rita
Hello Vantage Point team members and welcome to the Winter 2024 edition of our Point of Contact newsletter! I hope you all had wonderful holidays with family and friends. The year is off to an already incredible start and I know 2024 will be a great one! We look forward to seeing all you’ll accomplish this year and are eager to support every community in its mission to serve residents and create a warm and welcome home for all those who live with us.

Corporate Updates It’s amazing to think about all we accomplished in 2023 and the impact we’ve had on the residents we serve. In total we welcomed almost 250 new residents into our communities and finished the year with a total census of 470 residents we serve every day! The numbers of team members at Vantage Point continue to increase as well – with an active roster of 429 team members throughout our communities. In 2024 we will grow even more as each community works toward stabilized occupancy and as we welcome our newest community, Fieldstone at Chester Springs this summer. When thinking about our corporate goals for 2024 – they all revolve around how we can best support our community teams and in turn, how that results in the highest quality care and lifestyle for residents. Over the coming months, we will hire a human resources director at the corporate level – who will be dedicated to serving employees and continuing our efforts to make our communities the greatest places to work in the industry. This will come with increased presence from Vantage Point in your community, and a commitment to learn what’s most important to you.

Community Focus
Intergenerational Fun at Arcadia Arcadia Independent Living Residents were selected to be “Grandparents” to Primrose Preschool students. Primrose is conveniently located in Royersford, which makes it easy for a group of nearly 10 residents to travel to the preschool as well as inviting the preschoolers into our IL Residents read to home. Each month there preschoolers from the are planned activities, Primrose school in Royersford story reading, and lots of hugs sharing. On our first visit, we enjoyed a game of Bingo and realized that the children love Bingo as much as our seniors do. Next, we invited them to Arcadia to play one of our favorite games, Balloon Volleyball. A favorite memory for our residents was receiving an invitation to share a Thanksgiving Dinner with the children at their school. As we sat at preschool sized tables, we were treated to Turkey and all the trimmings (preschool sized portions at that).

Imagine grown adults at the tables having a spoonful of everything, a cup of applesauce, and a dixie cup of milk only filled halfway! In
December, to celebrate the holiday, two of our residents dressed as Mr. & Mrs. Claus, Tony Breslin and Barb Caffrey. The children were so excited as we stayed the whole day for both pre-school sessions. The children sat on Santa’s lap while Mrs. Claus asked them if Elfie Larry leads a holiday dance party they had been good boys and girls. Our elves gave out gifts. To close out the day, our driver, Larry Butts, or better known to the children as “Elfie Larry”, lead them in a dance to the musical sounds of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. This intergenerational program of seniors as grandparents, brought smiles to everyone’s’ faces!
Life at Lewes Lodge Team Lewes hosted its first ever Captain’s Table with our Executive Director, Dave Bolton! The team plans to make this a regular event to give residents the opportunity to sit & chat about life at The Lodge with Dave and their neighbors in a small, informal setting while enjoying a delicious meal in our private dining room.
ADAM AND HIS PUPPET FRIENDS JOINED COMPASS RESIDENTS
Our Compass residents have been busy! From puppet shows to lunch outings, a good time has been had by all!
A Special Thanks to Our Culinary Team The holiday season is synonymous with food, and our culinary team did an incredible job, going above and beyond this year, bringing their “A” game for all sorts of events, resident celebrations, and staff parties. Thank you all!
Truitt Lodge Puts on a Show! Our top-notch culinary & dining team
Team Meadowcrest Celebrates the Holiday Season Our Meadowcrest team works hard, but they also know how to have fun! Team members from all over the community celebrated the holiday season together.
Toys for Tots at Meadowcrest The Middletown community, local professionals, and Meadowcrest residents got into the giving spirit this year by donating very generously to Toys for Tots. All said and done, over 100 toys were collected (including two bicycles!) during the drive. The Toys for Tots “Haul”
In the spring of 2023, a group of talented Lodge residents and clubhouse members put together our first-ever singing group. This small group would meet in the Pub on Sunday afternoons to sing some of their favorite tunes. As the group grew in size, so did their dedication! This growing group added properly printed lyrics, vocal exercises, and backing music played over the speakers as part of their weekly gathering. By the fall, and with the encouragement of Lodge favorite Vince Varassi, the group decided to make the jump to a performing group and take their show on the road! “The Lodge Singers” were born–and were welcomed to a standing room only crowd for their first performance of a Lodge Christmas concert. The group’s Twelve Days of Christmas rendition and audience participation brought the house down. Right before Christmas, the group made their traveling debut and visited a rehab facility in Milford to do some caroling and spread some holiday joy to Lodge residents during their stay.
Team Lodge Celebrates the Holidays Our team is what makes Life at The Lodge so great! We celebrated the holiday season with an amazing holiday party, complete with music, games, and of course, a delicious menu!

Insperity vs. Employee Navigator
As we’ve transitioned our payroll and benefits away from our previous company, it’s important to remember there are TWO websites employees may need to access. INSPERITY (portal.insperity.com) This is where you access PAYCHECK, TIME AND ATTENDANCE, 401k, and TRAINING EMPLOYEE NAVIGATOR (employeenaviator.com) This is where you access information on your BENEFITS including medical, dental, vision, etc. If you have questions about the uses of either site, please contact your community’s human resources coordinator.
