A VANTAGE POINT RETIREMENT LIVING NEWSLETTER

Summer 2023

Summer 2023
I am very excited to welcome you to the first edition of our “Point of Contact” corporate newsletter.
As a company, our goal is to maintain a family atmostphere amongst our residents — and just as importantly, our team members. Each member of the Vantage Point family plays a critical role in providing our seniors with the experience they expect and deserve in our communities.
Our team and our portfolio continue to grow all the time. As Truitt Lodge prepares to celebrate its third anniversary, Fieldstone’s construction continues to progress at an impressive pace. The Lodge at Lewes is welcoming new team members every day as our independent living residents move in. With this exciting growth, I believe it’s more important than ever to share these regular updates with you so you, as our extended family and front line interfacing with residents and families every day, can feel connected to your counterparts at other communities and to your corporate leadership team.
Please enjoy the articles, photos, and highlights from your Vantage Point family members, and as always, we’re here to support you!
Vantage Point has been busy over the first half of 2023, with no signs of slowing down for the remainder of the year!
As you’ll see later in this newsletter, The Lodge at Historic Lewes is officially open for business as of this July! Congratulations are in order for all who helped the community get to this point. Located in Lewes, Delaware, Lewes Lodge offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. The community will be one of the largest employers in the area and we look forward to a bright future for residents, families, and team members.
Additionally, construction at Fieldstone at Chester Springs is well underway and slated to open in the summer of 2024. Fieldstone, located in Chester Springs, PA will offer Personal Care and Memory Care and is just down the road from Vantage Point’s corporate office in Exton. Stay tuned for more construction updates in future issues of this newsletter!
And last but certainly not least - as our communities grow, so does the Vantage Point team. We’d like to take a moment to welcome all new employees of Vantage Point’s communities to the team.
Vantage Point learned a lot from our recent employee survey – and one of our key takeaways is to always make sure our team members have easy access to share
thoughts, ideas, and feedback with us. We’ve created an easy way for you to share that
information with us. Follow the QR Code to the right, or visit bit.ly/vprlfeedback to share your thoughts with us – you can even recognize a teammate for going above and beyond!
This jam-packed week of fundraising and fun was a huge success — ending the week by exceeding their $1,000 goal! The total amount raised to be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association is an impressive $1,502!

The Longest Day is the day with the most sunlight – the summer solstice. On June 21st, people from across the world fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through different fundraising efforts.
This year our Recreation & Activities teams in Independent Living, Personal Care and Memory Care joined together to bring this event to life within our community and what an event it was!
From 6/12-6/20 Arcadia was buzzing with crafts, games, purple makeovers, reminiscing sing-a-longs, purple balloon volleyball, and yummy purple ice cream floats and other snacks.
We had a day focused on decorating our purple T-shirts in many festive ways. We had bake sales and basket raffles to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association.
It all culminated on June 21st, the Longest Day! Residents and staff throughout the community came together for fun, games, and a big purple celebration party with music and dancing. It was truly a sight to see walking into the room filled with residents, staff, and families dressed in their purple attire enjoying the music of the DJ and the company of good friends!
Recieving its temporary certificate of occupancy on July 11th and first Independent Living residents on July 14th, The Lodge at Historic Lewes has officially joined the Vantage Point family as an active community!
Right after getting news of the TCO, Lewes Lodge had signed a recordsetting 66.5 members across all three levels of care. The community relations team of Melissa Miller and Kaitlin Labadie have worked tirelessly over the last few months to make the transition from deposit to membership to move in a seamless and excecptional experience for our residents.
In addition to welcoming IL residents home in the coming weeks, followed by AL and MC residents, Lewes Lodge has added a growing list of team members to the family! Familiar faces transitioning from other communities are joined by an exciting group of new teammates to round out our front office, dining, and resident experience teams.
Lewes Lodge is also looking to continue hiring well into the summer and beyond!
IL Lobby & EntranceRecreation is off and running after nearly 2 years as a community. Discovering the needs of the community has resulted in exercise programs to maintain health, volunteer projects to feed the less fortunate in Middletown, and plenty of scheduled activities that facilitate resident’s creativity, spiritual needs, and social well-being.
On a perfect evening in Rehoboth Beach The Lodge at Truitt Homestead welcomed 200 guests in celebration of their 3rd Annual Summer Solstice “White Party”.
This year’s theme celebrated the Pacific Islands with a LUAU theme, complete with Hula dancers, Hula lessons for guests, a fire twirler and great theme foods. We wrapped up the evening with an hour of non-stop dancing to new and old favorites!
This year’s event featured live hula dancing demonstrations
As in years past, we were honored to dedicate all the profits from this action-packed and fun-filled event to our friends at Camp Rehoboth. The Lodge at Truitt Homestead and Camp Rehoboth share the common values of celebrating diversity, inclusion, acceptance and a mutual belief in the power of friendship and love.
Our 2024 Summer Solstice plans are already underway, so watch this space for details of our next fun event!
Vantage Point would like to extend our thanks to everyone on the team for their patience as we continue to work through the conversion to our new HR platform, Resourcing Edge.
We apologize for the hassle and headache that’s come with adopting new software and technology. Getting the systems working with 100% accuracy is a huge priority for us.
Also – a huge thank you to our HR leaders in all communities! Congratulations!
Congratulations to all of our graduates from the Class of 2023! Be it high school, college, trade school, or any other institution, your entire VPRL family applauds you and all of the hard work you’ve put in!
We’re all proud of you and wishing you all the best on your next adventure, whatever that may be!
...Again!
Congratulations to our Meadowcrest team for winning “Best of Delaware” for the second time!
The hard work each and every team member puts in daily is what sets Meadowcrest apart.
Hats off to the entire team, and congratulations again!
