A Letter From... Rita

Happy Spring to our Vantage Point team! We’ve hit the year running and are so grateful for everything you do to support your community and most importantly the residents who live with us.

As we’ve put more emphasis on employee feedback, I’d like to thank everyone who’s provided ideas, comments, and recognition through Vantage Point’s feedback survey (bit.ly/vprlfeedback). It’s been extremely helpful, and we look forward to putting in some work in response to your feedback. Please keep those submissions coming!

All the best,

Corporate Update

Spring is finally here and with the start of a season comes the start of new beginnings.

Earlier this year we celebrated the retirement of Joni Remmel – Vantage Point’s longest tenured team member at almost 19 years!

Her contributions to the growth and development of the company and all its communities are immeasurable and we will all miss her dearly. We wish Joni well in her new beginning and know she’ll have many adventures in retirement.

From

Another new beginning comes with welcoming Georgia Marchionne to the Vantage Point family (again!) as Corporate Director of Human Resources.

Georgia has been in the senior living industry for 15 years, getting her start at Spring Mill Senior Living – developed and initially managed by Vantage Point. She’s worked as an HR Specialist, HR Manager, HR Director, and a Recruiter.

Her depth of experience, knowledge, and belief in Vantage Point’s culture and values make her a perfect fit for this new role. So, when you see her in your community – feel free to say ‘hi!’

Gives Back

Within the VPRL family of communities, the thing we remain most proud of is...YOU! Our teams of caring, compassionate, and generous team members are what transforms our buildings into communities!

Meadowcrest’s Culinary Director, Dave Brown, has spearheaded a partnership within the larger Middletown community with “Our Daily Bread, donating extra food to help address food insecurity and alleviate hunger in the Middletown area.

At the beginning of the year, Rita received a lovely note from Brian Farragher (president of ODB’s board), commending Dave & his team for their consistent generosity.

Check out the excerpt below:

We are grateful to Dave Brown + his team for all of their help and support in our food rescue efforts. They, and everyone at Vantage Point have been great neighbors. Thanks so much for all you do for ODB.

Arcadia’s Easter Bonnet Parade

How did you celebrate the Easter Holiday? Here at Arcadia, we held many special events.

One of the most popular was our Easter Bonnet Parade held by the residents of our Memory Care Program. The residents spent the days leading up to the event decorating top hats and bonnets. Each created their own floral design with fun spring-type attachments. Men wore their embellished top hats and women wore their designer floppy hats during the parade for everyone to see their creations.

This event wasn’t just for show, it was judged by the staff. Led by Arcadia’s new Executive Director, Chris Henderson, the team selected who they thought was the best decorated hats this year. Definitely a tough call because so many had such creative designs, to welcome Easter and Spring.

Explore & Tour at Meadowcrest

Team Meadowcrest hosted our first ‘Explore & Tour’ event for prospective residents — and it was a rousing success!

Culinary stations throughout the community represented France, Italy, Greece, and Spain. The food was incredible, the building looked stunning, and a great time was had by all.

We know Meadowcrest and our entire extended VPRL family would be nothing without our incredible team members.

Truitt Lodge Kicks off 2024!

Team Truitt Lodge & our residents have been busy, busy, busy so far in 2024. There’s always something exciting going on — both on and off site!
