Lawrence Loh
Guest Conductor
American conductor Lawrence Loh is the Music Director of the Waco Symphony Orchestra. He is also in his final season as Music Director of The Syracuse Orchestra, having held that position for 11 years. He was previously Music Director of the West Virginia Symphony, Pittsburgh Youth Symphony, Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and the Denver Young Artists Orchestra. He has held major staff conductor positions with the Pittsburgh, Dallas and Colorado Symphonies. Loh is highly sought after as a guest conductor, and appears regularly with major orchestras such as the Cleveland,
Sarasota and Florida Orchestras, the Atlanta, Detroit, Phoenix, Seattle, Utah, San Francisco, National (D.C.), Baltimore and North Carolina Symphonies, the Grant Park Music Festival and the Boston Pops among many others. He is a film music buff and enjoys conducting Film in Concert as well as programs featuring the music of film composers, especially John Williams. Larry and his wife Jennifer are proud parents of two college students, Charlie and Hilary, and they share their home with an adorable dog named Coco, who is the CEO of the household! Gifts of any size to the Overture Society provide general operating support for concerts, education programs, community outreach, and administrative expenses.
Chair Sponsorships
Chair Sponsorships support the musicians in the orchestra and help SoNA attract and retain the best talent in the region. A gift of $2,500 will support a Principal musician for a season, and a gift of $1,000 will support a section musician.
