Our biggest event of the year took place both virtually and in person. We asked the team and people we support at St Marks Road to review the VEAs as they watched virtually. Here’s what they thought of this year’s event…
What was your favourite part of the night?
When St Marks Road won Care Home Team of the Year. We cheered as loud as we could, the neighbours must have heard us! Did you do anything special in your service to celebrate? We watched in our pyjamas, we wanted an ‘Award Night In’ together.
What would you rate the VEAs out of 5?
It was the best, we could see everyone from St Marks Road on the TV!

Seasonal sewing
We’re so happy to see autumn. This issue’s activity is inspired by nature. Why not try this sewing activity together in your service? All you need to do is follow the template and sew.
Using a needle and thread, stitch around the shape. You can stitch directly to the card or use it as a template for some material. Use different coloured thread to bring your creations to life!
