#VIEWFROMMYWINDOW Interview with Simon Dunn, Photos taken by Lukeorgraphy

WHAT DO YOU SEE WHEN YOU LOOK OUT THE WINDOW IN THE MORNING? AND WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE?

ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE FUTURE? I’ve always had pretty big goals, so the future excites me because It means I get to see if I’ve achieved them. Right now I’m about to head overseas to represent Australia in bobsleigh in the hope of qualifying

I’m currently living in inner city Sydney in a suburb

for the Olympics, so I’m excited for what the future

called Surry Hills. It’s quite built up so unfortunately

might hold for me.

the view from my bedroom window is a concrete wall. It is good for privacy though! Would love an ocean view, I grew up on the beach so falling asleep at night listening to the waves would be perfect!

WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL DUMB WITH HAPPINESS?

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF VISUALLY TO A BLIND PERSON, AND HOW IMPORTANT IS YOUR APPEARANCE TO YOU? I’d rather anyone get to know me for who I am

Nature, I love everything about the outdoors and

rather than how I look. I think appearance is so-

IF YOU COULD ASK THE UNIVERSE ONE QUESTION THAT YOU WERE GUARANTEED TO GET AN ANSWER TO, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

A MOMENT THAT HAS HAD A LASTING IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE. Getting back into rugby as an adult. I quit rugby as a teen because of homophobia and never felt that, as a gay man, I had place within sport. I eventually gained the confidence to join a rugby

WITH WHICH CELEBRITY WOULD YOU LIKE TO SPEND A SUNDAY AFTERNOON? (DEAD OR ALIVE)

WHAT INSPIRES YOU? For me the biggest inspiration for doing what I do, is to hopefully be the role model for LGBTQI people that I yearned for as a teenager coming out. I

WHILE GETTING THINGS PREPARED FOR THIS ISSUE YOU TOLD US, THAT THIS SHOOT WAS PRETTY SPECIAL FOR YOU. MAY YOU DESCRIBE HOW IT FELT AND WHAT WAS SO SPECIAL ABOUT IT?

IF YOU TAKE A LOOK ON YOUR INSTAGRAM PAGE YOUR STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY HAS CHANGED OVER THE YEARS. DID YOU DO SOMETHING TO HELP AND SPEED UP THAT PROCESS? I think it comes with finally shutting out the noise in my head of „ gotta be the best“ and finally trusting my gut and my voice.

This shoot was inspired but an 80‘s sculpture I found,

I wanted to find everything used in the shoot myself.

ROBERT RIESE IN 5 YEARS... HOW AND WHO IS HE GOING TO BE?

I wanted to take the typical 80‘s business woman and blend it with modern queer gender less fashions.

WHEN IT COMES TO SELECTING MODELS AND PEOPLE YOU WORK WITH, WHAT‘S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR YOU? I am a wild unicorn, I feed off of energy. If you are willing to go on a journey with me that I want to help share your stories.

YOUR PHOTOS ARE MOST OF THE TIME BARELY DRESSED MEN. WHY HAVE YOU DECIDED TO FOCUS ON MALE MODELS?

to create in, something I wish I had more access to when you dont have a budget. I also want to be creating more fashion content with brands, so if you know one / or are one....

DID YOU ALWAYS KNEW THAT YOU‘RE PASSIONATE ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY AND HOW DID YOU START WORKING ON YOUR FIRST CREATIVE PROJECTS? I am a dancer to start with. Growing up i was always in front of a mirror or a camera. once I was in college I discovered my love and fascination in

Let me be frank I dont want to stick myself in one box of just „ minimally clothed males“ I strive to shoot all types of bodies, and to share stories of any and all. Withthat said I obviously find the male figure amazing to work with. I want to show bodies in motion and in story.
