This art shows how saturation can change depending on the color’s surroundings. To start looking at point A where the color pure red shape is surrounding the corner pure orange square and side shape. Now the orange is of course being dominated by the red color. The red suppresses the red color in orange which desaturates the orange color making look yellower since red dominating the aera causing the orange to have a lower saturation level. In contrast Point B where a pure blue triangle shape is now surrounding the pure orange wave line . The pure blue is a complementary color to orange and this fact allows the shapes to preform a after image effect. It this effect that causes the orange to have a more intensive saturation level. Looking at the two different oranges you can see a contrast in hue and saturation, one being a higher saturated then the other.
