The real-estate market in wellknown areas, such as Old San Juan, Condado, Isla Verde, Guaynabo and Dorado are thriving, while there are many other investment alternatives out of the San Juan area. Mar in Humacao are doing well, while in the west, Rincón, Isabela and Aguadilla have seen a rise in home sales in recent months. “This is a great time to invest, to buy in Puerto Rico. Not to buy and resell tomorrow. We are talking about longer investments of five to 10 years,” said Milton Serrano, manager of Reality Realty’s San Juan Branch. “In the past, we used to sell a lot of properties at $150,000 or less.
