ABOUT THE EDITOR As the Founder, Editor-in-Chief, and Chief Photographer of VNB Magazine, Le Quan has created an alluring platform for all those captured and seduced by the beauty of the feminine form.
Eventually, when the magazine refused to continue his contract, he decided to launch his own empire, fusing all the things that he loves and does best.
The allure of VNB dresses its NYC headquarters with seemingly endless posters of covergirls, magazines, sketches, lights, and lingerie samples from its upcoming intimate collection. It’s a studio, an office, a design lab, a play house - it’s everything that Le has worked hard to create - the quintessential “American Dream” that has inspired generations of creative talents, including James Brown, whose song, “I don’t want nobody to give me nothing” plays proudly in the background.
“In Vietnam, everyone has his own business - regardless of the size or nature. I only know how to shoot, and I love women. I have to stay true to what I love, and if I’m left with one word, that’s belief.”
“I don’t want nobody To give me nothing
However challenging the fundraising efforts have been, for a relatively risqué subject to focus on, Le was convinced that there is a market for such a sophisticated men’s magazine that would provide a platform of opportunities for emerging talent and creative beings. In his own words, “Hey, I don’t sell beer, I don’t sell food, I sell lingerie, and I only do the stuff I love - the rest doesn’t matter. Because when it comes to sacrifice, it’s gotta be for something you love.” With the launch of VNB intimates - a seductive lingerie collection under his very own label, Le’s journey is only about to become more exciting. He’s one of those people who always seeks and manages to make the most out of any situation, but bad situations in particular. He’s a visionary who walks the walk, and never lets you down.
Open up the door I’ll get it myself We got talents we can use
“Every road has its turns, curves, drops, and highs, but it’s how you navigate them, and we’re going to keep going.”
On our side of town Let’s get our heads together And get it up from the ground” Le claims this song to be his anthem, as it depicts his journey of getting VNB off the ground, to its modern state. The beginning of any venture is not easy, but VNB in particular was, and remains to this day, a risk and a gamble. Prior to its inception, Le has held 16 different jobs that ranged from the food and service industry to construction, to administration, to translator, and then to graphic design under another magazine.

10 Rules to create success from billionaire
RICHARD BRANSON
In a new book titled “The Virgin Way: Everything I know About Leadership”, Richard Branson shares what made his success today. 1. Answer the call of the heart Branson never abandons an idea even if they faced heavy criticism . He always expressed admiration for those who are willing to take risks to achieve great goals. This is what he Sources: Vulcanpost learnt from his father, who agreed to Branson quitting school to create his own magazine. Under the condition that he can ensure the number of ads sold through the magazine can pay for the cost printing. Branson has always used the term “protect the base” to describe the limits of their risk tolerance, and that’s how he succeeded in persuading his partners to join the aviation industry in 1984. Branson successfully negotiated with Boeing and the company began to receive the first 747. His plan was to succeed in this industry within a year, or leave. 2. Do good deeds Branson believes in charity work, and has agreed to use at least half of his fortune for this. He finds that charity is a good solution in promoting the relationship between him and his employees. That is why he campaigned a large number of people working at Virgin to participate in marathons in New York and London to raise funds for charity. 3. Have faith in what we do “The confidence in what you are doing will make the difference between success and failure. If you are not proud of what you’re doing, then who will?” Branson said. 4. Always fun Branson shared that the key to the closeness and unity among the subsidiaries of the Virgin Group is located in the fun atmosphere. “Having fun is one of the important factors, but also the most easily overlooked in any successful business. If you are not happy with what is done, then you’re better off quitting and try another job,” Branson wrote. Brason encourages parties or events because he thinks it can bridge the gap between employer and employees, as well as help people feel comfortable, readily to open up to each other.

5. Do not give up Branson encounter difficulties throughout his career. And just like any other business owners, he met many failures in life, such as the Virgin Megastore project. However, Branson never gives up and always move forward. For Branson, not all his adventures brings success, but that doesn’t stop him from taking risks. 6. Kepping records Branson was trained from an early age the habit to remember things through writing. That’s why he never forgot to bring out his handbook. Branson said routine records is an important weapon to help him win in the marketplace. 7. Learn how to employ and take time for yourself All great leaders understand that they do not have the time and ability to understand all the details of their business, so they hire people to do the work for them. They themselves may not be qualified, or do not need to waste time to do it. “It also helps me to have more time to spend with my family, and this is the most important thing.” 8. Building relationships Do not sit in front of a computer screen all day. Make arrangements to have lunch with colleagues or coffee with someone with authority. You will never have the opportunity to advance without knowing how to build relationships. 9. Communicate with all levels of the company Branson does not believe in the gap between the different levels in a company. He said that even if you are the CEO, you must not forget that leaders are evaluated by their peers. He took the example of Pixar’s company - all the different departments within the company have the opportunity to meet with each other directly every day, which has beneficial effects for the company. 10. Happiness For Branson, total assets of $ 5 billion will not mean anything if he really not happy with what I did. Success, for billionaires this is what can bring happiness. That is why he owns his own island. But at the same time, Branson also said: “As long be with the people I love and do what I love, location is no longer bother me.”
7things to teach you about
WARREN BUFFET
leadership skills
Here is the problem of leadership skills that Warren Buffet is drawn from decades in the market. 1. Risk “Risk comes from not you know what you’re doing,” Buffett said. That means either you become a risky bet manually, or you find yourself in need of attention and do it a bit slow and minimize the risks. Obviously the latter is better, but it does not bring immediate gratification. Please “postpone the rapture” of themselves millions of dollars to control risk factors first. 2. Reputation “It took 20 years to build a reputation but just five minutes to ruin it. If you are aware of this, then you would do differently.” This is particularly true in the digital era, where if something is written down or recorded, it will exist forever. You can even capture screen Snapchat, so be careful when building your own reputation - both online and in real life. Remember when Senator Anthony Weiner Twitter upload photos of him rather sensitive? Do not be so. His reputation goes before tong. 3. In those around you “It’s better to make exchanges with people better than you. Please pick allies behave better than you, and you will become like them.” Ox ox-range, range code code - you can not do better than others stretch. If you put good people besides themselves, they will help inspire you to do better. I teach my children this way: “If you want to soar like an eagle, you can not just make friends with the turkey.” 4. In recognition of the climate issue “In the business world, the rearview mirror is always clearer windshield,” Buffett quipped. Of course that’s true with all other aspects of life. However, do not just focus on doing a rear view after you have collected the necessary lessons from it. Let’s move on even when the forward direction is still challenging.
5. On the blunders “In the mid-90s, I bought a company called Dexter Shoe for $ 400 million. Now it has a value of 0. I also spent $ 400 million buying shares of Berkshire, and now it can cost 400 USD. I had a lot of stupid decisions, but that’s part of the game “. No one ever accomplished any mistakes, mistakes even be a good thing. Every mistake brings an opportunity to learn and alerts you know when you want to do something similar in the future. 6. Aware when to abandon “If you’re on a boat holes, perhaps more effective way is to move the boat instead of trying to patch the holes.” In other words, do not be too stubborn and always aware of the need to abandon. Project does not deserve to be saved. 7. Frugality Buffet is known for frugality. He still lives in the house purchased in 1958 for $ 31,500 in Omaha, Nebraska. He is famous for saving his lifestyle, with diet as the hamburger McDonald’s and Coca cherry country. He also hated technology, from computers to luxury cars. Although the ownership transfer of assets worth billions of dollars, Warren Buffet owns only basic salary is $ 100,000 a year in Berkshire Hathaway. Salary has never changed for 25 years. Today, many leaders try to earn as much money as possible and live lavish as possible. They should probably learn something from the Buffet.

HAIR SALON
HAIRMODE
A modern hair salon in downtown Flushing Whenever I walked past Hair Mode, I’ve always admired how sleek and clean their interior looked. The modern decor laid within the interesting layout, with stylish hair dressers working their magic inside the space made me curious about the salon. I finally had the honor to meet and chat with the owner and stylist behind it, Michael Dong. You may have seen his name as the hair stylist for models in VNB magazine, as well as celebrity hair stylist for Hong Kong and Chinese stars, and beauty pageants. Anyone who meets him can see that although he’s soft spoken, his drive was the complete opposite - he was passionate about what he loves to do, hair styling. His love and desire to make a woman more beautiful by enhancing her hair was what motivated him to open up his first salon. He says many people might switch careers because of finances, but to him, he would rather stick to a career he loves doing. Although this particular location in Flushing has only been opened for half a year, he already have successful locations back in his home country Macau, as well as in the city. He started off his hair styling journey by working in a Japanese salon. Being surrounded by Japanese stylists, their techniques and aesthetics influenced him. Besides being influenced by a culture, walking around SoHo’s artistic streets with modern twists also gets his ideas rolling. In addition to checking out architecture as he walks through the streets, he’ll also notice everyone’s hair. WW W.V NBMAG AZINE .C OM

The one that makes a person glance twice at is what he strives to help his clients achieve - something trendy but at the same time fits their personal style and face shape. He puts effort and his own creativity from from start to finish in both the interior and the way his business runs. He designed the whole storefront, from measuring out each station, to picking out the materials. Unlike other salons, he wanted both his employees and clients to be grouped together at the center, instead of having a receptionist desk on first floor, and the service being on the second. This way it feels friendlier, almost like a close knit community rather than a business. Thus, he set the center island bar for the receptionists to greet clients, as well as allowing the clients to sit there while getting their hair done. They even treated me as if I’m one of the clients, offering lemon water and snacks such as caviar crackers. Where else can you find that kind of service? Not only do they have great customer service, they have interesting technology! They have an technologically advanced hair strand tester that allows them to customize the level of heat and chemicals for each client. Michael also showed me their hair treatment machine that can help treat both the scalp and the hair strands, whether it be itchy scalp or dull hair, it can correct it all. Besides advanced machinery, they use topnotch brands such as Kerastase to natural brands like Aveda, so you get a good range of products to suit your needs. This is definitely an up and coming salon in Flushing. They also offer a membership deal that gives you discounted cuts and dyes, as well as a free haircut on your birthday! How cool is that? RESTAURANT
MISTER HOTPOT The new hotspot in town
The best way to describe Mister Hotpot is gourmet hotpot. What’s better than a hot soup pot meal in the cold weather with family, or group of friends? A giant, communal soup pot in the center of the table that lets you cook all your ingredients to your liking. We’re talking about hotpot, Chinese-style fondue, and we want to know where you get it. Mister Hot Pot in Sunset Park makes a milky mild soup base almost as rich as ramen broth. Lies on the bustling streets of 8th Avenue in Brooklyn’s Chinatown, where you’ll find more Fujianese joints than anywhere else in the city. Hot pot—the fondue-like meal of dipping meat, vegetables, and noodles into bubbling broth at the table—is the only meal. Beware: this is not your parents’ Chinese restaurant. Pop music blares from the speakers, and the tables are populated by hip young Asian kids. Hot pot, unlike, say, soufflé, does not betray anything by its appearance alone. You cannot tell if the broth is good until you taste it. And even then you cannot make up your mind right away. Does it taste good right when it’s brought out? Does it taste good after half an hour of simmering with vegetables and meats? An hour? Hot pot is not only opaque—it also evolves. WW W.V NBMAG AZINE .C OM
