Τεχνικό έργο είναι ότι βρίσκεται γύρω μας και κατασκευάστηκε από τον άνθρωπο. • An engineer designs and is responsible for constructing technical projects. A technical project is anything that surrounds us and has been munufactured by humans.
Τα πρώτα έργα Human's first projects • Τα πρώτα τεχνικά έργα ήταν καλύβες.
• The first technical human projects were huts.
Η ανάγκη για έργα Every project is a necessity • Για να γίνει ένα τεχνικό έργο πρέπει να υπάρχει μια ανάγκη, για παράδειγμα η ανάγκη για μεταφορές οδήγησε στην κατασκευή δρόμων και γεφυρών. • In order for a project to be constructed there is always a necessity, for example, the necessity for trasportation led to road and bridge construction.

Ειδικότητες μηχανικών Engineering specialties • Για να κατασκευαστεί ένα έργο συνεργάζονται συνήθως πολλές ειδικότητες μηχανικών : τοπογράφοι, πολιτικοί, αρχιτέκτονες, μηχανολόγοι, περιβαλλοντολόγοι μηχανικοί κ.α.
• For a technical project to be completed, many different engineering specialties work together : surveyors, civil, architects, mechanical, environmental engineers e.t.c.
Εξοπλισμός Equipment • Για τις μετρήσεις, τους υπολογισμούς, τον σχεδιασμό κ.τ.λ. οι μηχανικοί χρησιμοποιούν ειδικό εξοπλισμό. • For measurements, calculations, designing e.t.c. engineers use special equipment.
Τα έργα Projects • Με αυτόν τον τρόπο κατασκευάζονται μικρά ή μεγάλα έργα. Δρόμοι, φράγματα, γέφυρες, σιδηροδρομικά έργα και άλλα. • In this way small or massive projects are manufactured. Roads, dams, bridges, railways and others.
