According to the medical community, he should have never walked, been mentally challenged, and dead by the age of 7. Modern human beings are familiar with Machine Learning (ML), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Artificial Intelligence (AI). As the world shifts its emphasis toward the development of a digital economy, these phrases are increasingly employed in business and politics. We are often told that "technology is the future," and in many respects, this is accurate.

What Is the Digital Economy?

The digital economy is the branch of the economy that deals with the production and distribution of digital information and products. It includes businesses that produce and sell digital goods and services and those that use digital technologies to enable new business models.

In recent years, its growth has been accelerated by technological advancements and the increased availability of high-speed Internet connections. This growth has led to the creation of new industries, jobs, and ways for businesses to reach customers.

Although technology may not totally replace human professions, it has a substantial impact on the skills required to provide value to the economy, as well as on how we learn and interact. While this article does not get into the specifics of AI, ML, and IoT, it will discuss what a technology-driven future looks like and what it implies for the digital economies of ASEAN and Australia, given the digital gap in the area.

ASEAN Potential The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) has the potential to become the fourth biggest economy in the world by 2050, with the ASEAN Digital Economy estimated to increase by 500% to over US$200 billion by 2025. As seen by the increasing number of ASEAN-based e-commerce businesses, such as Singapore's Lazada and Indonesia's Tokopedia, the digital economy is projected to rise to $88 billion by 2025.

The Southeast Asia (SEA) internet economy is expected to increase from $72 billion in 2018 to $240 billion in 2025, according to the 2018 Google-Temasek e-Conomy Southeast Asia (SEA) study. As investor trust in the area continues to climb, this indicates enormous growth potential for ASEAN as a regional economy, particularly in sectors such as e-commerce, ride-hailing, and the general startup environment. www.PositiveImpact.TV

How ASEAN and Australia React to Disruption (The Challenge) Economic expansion is both constructive and harmful. ASEAN-Australia needs to find a balance between fast growth, digitization, and managing disruptions so that the region can reach its full potential.

In addition to artificial intelligence, automation might have a significant impact on the Southeast Asian industrial industry. Currently, Southeast Asia is one of the largest industrial centers outside of China due in part to its inexpensive labor. This sector might be fundamentally transformed by the advent of automation, which would boost efficiency and further reduce prices. However, it has the potential to eliminate employment for a large number of people in the area. According to a research titled "ASEAN in Transformation" by the International Labour Organization (ILO), roughly 137 million paid employees in Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand might lose their employment during the next 20 years.

Takeaway. In the next few years, it is anticipated that the digital economy of ASEAN will expand tremendously. However, growth at such a rapid rate as a region may not be sustainable for all ASEAN members since several nations continue to face additional developmental obstacles that may restrict their progress.

While it is commendable that ASEAN has engaged in cooperation discussions through various initiatives such as the ASEAN Digital Integration Framework and the ASEAN Innovation Network, it is imperative that ASEAN recognize the underlying differences and distinct needs of each country rather than being overly focused on growing as one.

While in the hospital, he would meet with a psychiatric therapist who told him that he would never have what it takes to inspire others, or to be someone who could motivate them to reach their ultimate life goals.

Williams knew that his story would promote the connection he feels toward others, and his passion to see everyone understand and value their own worth. Williams never imagined himself to be seen as a Leader, because of the demons he suffered from mental health challenges.

However, he sees it as an opportunity to build up more leaders, and consistently show what a true leader is. His health and wellbeing is an immense contributing factor to his ability, it is with courage and a heart full of compassion, that Williams can fully embrace all aspects of what it truly takes to be a humanitarian. The care of himself has come to fruition as his mental and physical health had to be upgraded so that he can fully be in the zone of making an impact.

by Julz Vitality Why I Now Welcome Adversity If you followed me for a while, you know I am a Mental Health Advocate. Why, you'd ask...

Because life has thrown me down, kicked over and over, and every time I'd get up, a new challenge would come my way.

At one point I did collapse, with depression and anxiety, mental fog, PTSD, a new ADHD diagnosis, you name it... I was forgetting a pot on the stove, locked keys inside the house, and did all sorts of careless things without thinking. It was a dark time.

I took a lot of therapy, different kinds. I stayed away from meds as much as I could, trying to find natural alternatives to the ones being prescribed.

How I climbed out Day after day I felt sorry for myself, and at the same time angry that I felt so useless and powerless in climbing out of the depression.

As long as I remembered myself, I considered myself an optimist. However, during depression, nothing made me smile, I had no hope, no dreams, I took no joy in doing things I previously loved.

I was disgusted with myself for being depressed. I hated the feeling, but couldn't do a thing about it.

I also gained weight and got out of shape. Sweets were my go-to stress management, and sleep was a way to escape the sad reality. I tried listening to some motivational stuff, and at times it made me feel hopeful, but then I slid back into the hopeless state of desperation for someone to come and recue me, because I had no energy to do it myself.

ONE DAY I WAS SICK OF BEING SICK This was HONESTLY the BEST day in my life back then. I was so disgusted with self-pity and feeling like a victim, that I somehow snapped out of it and started THINKING for a change. I thought to myself, what is outside of me but in my control that can assist me in feeling a tiny bit better. www. PositiveImpact.TV

Mindset NOTHING WILL BRING YOU DOWN MUSIC I stopped listening to sad and depressing music, and I started creating playlists that uplift my mood and playing that in the background all day.

SMELL I started using essential oils in my house, citrus ones mainly, because they stimulate good mood. I put a little cotton ball soaked in orange oil by my laptop and sniffed it each time I had an impulse to sink back into the blues.

PLANTS I read somewhere the houseplants do miracles for our state of being, so I went and bought some more, and also cut flowers, which ALWAYS used to make me happy. Seeing green around me, and having more oxygen as a side benefit, had an amazing effect on me.

Despite all odds, I started an IG page with positive quotes.

Of course, I had to research them, and find a good image to illustrate it, even eventually learnt to make videos and reels to make these quote come to life. I started looking forward to the next quote. I also started following a few similar pages.

EXERSICE I forced myself to move, and to get out of the house. First, even to sit on a balcony for a few minutes, then to go for a brief walk, then do a 5-minute low intensity home workout.

Before I knew it, I was doing longer, more consistent workouts at home, and my walks turned into jogging, and, eventually I returned to my past passion of running.

PODCASTS / SHOWS Last but not least, I started learning SKILLS to battle depression. I was surprised to learn that we can actually control our thoughts.

This was a relief, such an empowering piece of knowledge! This changed EVERYTHING. I was working on becoming more self-aware, catch my negative thoughts and replace them with something positive, or just with an opposite. Or, I'd force myself to get distracted and turn to one of the tips mentioned above.

obvious one. Batching anything saves time. Checking all the messages during your breaks will take less time than checking them one by one sporadically. You'll also accomplish other tasks in less time without distractions hence buying out even more time.
