As I write my final article
as Chairman, I find myself contemplating the journey that led me to this leadership position. For business owners like myself, time is a precious commodity, and the decision to commit to other endeavors is not an easy one. It’s tough for us to calculate how much of that time we can afford to donate outside of our businesses, regardless how great the cause, how well that organization is run, or who we might meet.
When Chamber CEO Rachel Beld initially approached me about assuming the Chair role, since the outgoing Chair was nearing the end of his term, my initial response was a resounding no. I had concerns about time management, but also doubts about if I was suitable for the position. When we are immersed in the day-to-day operations of our businesses, it's easy to overlook our broader skill sets and capabilities.
I talked to friends, family, and members of the community and the board, but Rachel's words resonated profoundly: "The reasons you're hesitant are exactly why I believe you're the right fit." There were others that said something similar, which helped me understand that my role wasn’t to fulfill predetermined duties, but to lend my own talents to an already thriving organization.
Since joining the Board and assuming the role of Chairman, I've had the privilege of addressing audiences at events such as the State of the City and Meet The Leaders, honoring the Heroes of Vista, recognizing exceptional 40 Under 40 winners, helped form impactful committees, and engaged in pivotal decisions that affect Vista's business landscape. Most importantly, I’ve had the chance to meet some brilliant and compassionate community members that I may not have had access to otherwise.
As I've said before, the future of Vista is bright! And it's much easier to see this light from the inside. To those contemplating similar opportunities to volunteer, participate in boards, or take on leadership roles, I say do it! The qualities that you’re able to contribute won’t be realized until you’re in the room. For those unsure where to begin, I encourage you to dedicate some time this Memorial Day weekend to volunteer at our signature event, the historic Strawberry Festival.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Rachel and the entire Vista Chamber of Commerce staff for entrusting me with this remarkable opportunity. Special thanks to Dave Baldwin, Adam Brooks, Terry Woods, Jason Roberts, and my family for their advice and encouragement throughout this unforgettable journey.

Burtech Family Vineyard Tastes Sweet Success
By Julie Smith Taylorhe dream of owning a vineyard and making award-winning wines may be difficult to achieve for most people, especially in their second chapter. However, entrepreneurs and local business owners Dominic and Julie Burtech are not your average couple. Their story begins in 1992 when they established Burtech Pipeline, a General Engineering Contracting Firm in San Diego. Together they raised three children and in 2012, purchased 11 acres in Encinitas they affectionately call Caballos Del Mar. On this wide-open piece of land, Julie and their daughter Maile could pursue their dream of raising horses and developing a competitive Hunter/Jumper and Dressage Facility. But Dominic wanted more. Inspired by numerous trips to Napa Valley through the years, he wanted to create a lifestyle that married winemaking and horses. Their second step in achieving their dream was to buy an existing vineyard on an estate in Glenn Ellen, near Sonoma, CA.
Learning by doing and following the patient study of viniculture, the family decided to make a local go of it in 2019 when they established Burtech Family Vineyard. Dominic, the Burtech Family, and Associate James Valles planted all 3,500 vines on the Encinitas property. The vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. In Sonoma, they source their grapes from acclaimed vineyards like Sangiacomo, Annadel Vineyard, and historic AVA’s such as Sonoma Valley and Moon Mountain. They produce an array of wines to include Merlot, Chardonnay, Rosé and a Sparkling Rosé from 100 percent Pinot Noir.
In 2023, they won the Director’s Award for Best Merlot by the San Diego International Wine Challenge. This year, they were honored to win Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s Hidden Gem Award for their second leaf of Chardonnay. In just two short years, Burtech Family Vineyard has garnered more than 14 90+ scores from Wine Enthusiast.
“The Burtechs are very passionate about wine and producing high quality wines,” says Lisa Redwine, Advanced Sommelier, General Manager and Wine Director for the winery. “It’s a joy for me to come to work every day because I get to participate in their dream,” she says. “Dominic and Julie are incredibly supportive employers who encourage all of us to grow and learn. They are committed to producing wines of the highest caliber and it is rewarding to evolve and be challenged to meet expectations.”
Redwine joined the company in 2023 bringing years of restaurant management experience with her. “I love having the opportunity to take all my past experience and translate it into a new industry, especially one with such a focus on quality. It’s incredibly exciting.”
Dominic carefully curated a talented and diverse team to actualize their dream. They work at the company’s new tasting room and wine production facility at 1325 Pipeline Drive in Vista. “Our Tasting Room is adjacent to the production facility and is open Wednesday through Sunday,” says Redwine. “In the Tasting Room, we serve artisan pizza with our own dough and sauce, seasonal salads, charcuterie and chocolate,” says Redwine. “We also offer a dynamic Wine Club that gives our members a host of unique and exciting benefits, a variety of classes, and specialty programming to enhance the wine tasting experience. For example, there’s a popular flower arranging class scheduled entitled, “Pinot & Petals” where guests can enjoy wine while learning flower arranging skills,” she explains.
The Tasting Room also offers live music every Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wine Wednesdays where members and guests enjoy 25 percent off all bottles. Please check the website for further details and information. If you’d like to purchase wines from Burtech Family Vineyard, you can do so through the website, the Tasting Room, Meritage Wine Market, and several local restaurants listed on the website.
“We are so appreciative of the Chamber’s support and the incredibly positive response from the local business community since we opened our doors,” says Redwine. “We love being part of Vista and having the opportunity to support our fellow Chamber members and neighbors whenever we can.”

Mayor's Message
Mayor John FranklinDear Friends,
As summer approaches, I'm filled with excitement because Vista truly shines this time of year. Our city is bustling with activity, from the Strawberry Festival on Memorial Day weekend all the way to the Moonlight Amphitheatre's final curtain call in October. There's so much to explore in Vista, and I encourage you to embrace the city's incredible amenities and the lineup of special events on the calendar.
Two of Vista’s beloved summer destinations, the Moonlight Amphitheatre and the Wave Waterpark, are ready to welcome you once again this season. I love how generations of Vistans have made the Wave and the Moonlight part of their cherished summer traditions. Where else can you soak up the sun at a thrilling waterpark by day and then catch a Broadway-caliber musical under the stars by night? Vista makes it possible!
The Moonlight Amphitheatre is also home to our Independence Day Celebration and the Moonlight Concert Series. This year, we will celebrate the 56th consecutive Independence Day Celebration on July 4 with fireworks and live music. The Moonlight’s concert series welcomes top-flight entertainment to keep you grooving in the summer.
Summer is also a time for adventure and growth for our young ones. The City offers enriching camp experiences: Day Camps at Brengle Terrace
Park, running from June through August, and the ever-popular Splash Camps at the Wave Waterpark, which sell out quickly.
We’re also proud to collaborate with the County of San Diego on our annual Movies in the Park series held in June, July, and August. This year’s slate of movies includes “The Princess Bride,” Disney’s “Wish,” and “Barbie.” I invite you to bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets to enjoy a family-friendly movie under the stars at our city parks. I will see you there!
Throughout Vista, you'll find plenty of opportunities to make your summer special. Savor local cuisine downtown, enjoy a cold drink at one of Vista’s many breweries, or spend the day exploring Alta Vista Gardens or the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum.
For the full scoop on Vista’s summer activities, . Wishing you all a wonderful summer, Vista!

The Havens Country Club: Vista’s
Hidden Jewel
By Anne McDonnellocated amidst the beautiful rolling hills of Vista off of Gopher Canyon Road, The Havens Country Club is a private golf, fitness, and social club. Established in 1977 as Vista Valley Country Club, Terri and John Havens purchased the club and surrounding properties in March 2007. Since then the club has undergone a multi-million-dollar upgrade and expansion, including the 39,000-square-foot clubhouse; upgrades to the women’s and men’s locker rooms, saunas, and spas; workout facility; and virtual golf room. Common areas, including the dining area, terraces, and pro shop, were also updated. The facility was rebranded as The Havens Country Club on December 1, 2023.
The property covers more than 240 acres and offers a championship golf course designed by Ted Robinson Sr., tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness center and weight room, and a restaurant and bar. According to Catherine Ockunzzi, Director of Business Development and Membership Sales, an aquatics center with an Olympic-size swim-
What sets the club apart is its wonderful staff and welcoming members.
ming pool, jacuzzi, splash pad, lawn area, outside bar, and dining area are currently under construction for an estimated completion in 2025.
One of the most popular amenities, says Ockunzzi, is the golf course. The club has an active men’s and women’s golf association and full tournament calendar. In addition, PGA professionals offer group and private golf lessons. “Our member/guest tournaments—the men’s ‘The Oaks’ and women’s ‘The Jewel’—are well known for being two of the most prestigious golf tournaments in San Diego County,” says Ockunzzi. The “attention to detail and excellent service throughout these tournaments is something we are very proud of,” she says.
Another popular amenity at the club is pickleball. Members can join the informal league or women’s pickleball group, or book private/group lessons with a pickleball professional. The club also offers monthly pickleball workshops.
What sets the club apart is its wonderful staff and welcoming members, says Ockunzzi. In addition, the club is popular
as a wedding venue with its elegant Provence Gardens. Also unique is the country club’s association with the world-renowned Cal-a-Vie Health Spa, which adjoins the county club property. The owners of The Havens Country Club also own Cal-a-Vie, and country club members benefit from having fitness classes taught by Cal-a-Vie instructors; the ability to book personal training sessions with Cal-a-Vie fitness staff; and the ability to book spa treatments, including massages, facials, and acupuncture, with Cal-a-Vie massage therapists and estheticians.
A wine club is another unique offering. Wine club members receive a personalized wine locker that is temperature controlled and are invited to exclusive wine events throughout the year. They also enjoy special pricing on other wine events and wine club sales. The wine club is limited to 60 members. In addition, Château Cal-a-Vie winery is under construction across Gopher Canyon Road, notes Ockunzzi. This facility will be open to the public and will feature wines grown from the vineyards on the Cal-a-Vie property.
Membership types for the country club are golf memberships and social fitness memberships. The club is shown by appointment only by contacting Catherine Ockunzzi (760-842-6567 catherineo@ thehavenscc.com).
In addition to offering amenities to its members, The Havens Country Club supports many local charities, including Casa de Amparo, REINS, Bonsall Women’s Club, and Tee it for the Troops. Says Ockunzzi, the facilities, staff, and members all combine to make The Havens Country Club “a hidden jewel in North County.”

Caryn said, “Allen Brothers mortuary has been a staple of Vista for so many years. They were there when my grandmother and my father passed. Nobody likes to think about the day you lose someone, but it is wonderful to have Allen Brothers there when you need them.”
“It’s a difficult thing to bring a stranger into your home on a day that is probably one of your worst, but as a business Allen Brothers does it with compassion. They are a gem to have in our community.”
It's the genuine care and long standing commitment Allen Brothers provides to their patrons that makes them a vital part of the City of Vista.
Frazier Farms
By Elizabeth BickfordFrazier Farms has been serving Vista since 1982 and committed to providing fresh and organic produce to the Vista community.
Located in the Vista Village shopping center since 2005, it’s been an ideal location as the Vista Village area provides convenient access from the rest of the city. Vista Village is a walkable area and with the recent redevelopments it has made the neighborhood desirable for both businesses and community members.
Frazier Farms has been in the Vista Chamber of Commerce for nearly 20 years and enjoys supporting and providing service to the city. Matt Poucher, the CFO of Frazier Farms says, “It is cool to see the generations of Vista kids work at Frazier Farms go off to college and then return to the Vista area.” The legacy and generational commitment to the city shows the true pride and love that locals have for Vista. Matt further states, “It is great to have the moms
and dads of former employees shop and check in with us, they give us updates on our former staff.” The past 20 years with Frazier Farms have been enjoyable for Matt because of the people and connection with the community.
Frazier Farms is a family business. Matt says, “you might have a Frazier baking your bread, or working in seafood, or you could find a Frazier prepping the meals, it’s truly a family adventure.”
Frazier Farms welcomes patrons in as family. When you shop at Frazier Farms you are part of the family!
A leading advocate for local produce and fresh options, it is clear why Frazier Farms is one of the Strawberry Festival’s largest supporters. The grocery organization provides all the strawberries for the event and features two booths
during the festivities. This partnership requires a large commitment of time from the grocer. They start procuring the local strawberries months before the event. All the strawberries are provided fresh and from local farmers.
This year Vista will be celebrating the 13th annual Strawberry Festival on Sunday, May 26th from 8 am to 6 pm. Frazier Farms has been a longtime supporter of this event that includes the 5K Vista Strawberry Run, a film festival, local vendors, and so much more!
Strawberries are an excellent seasonal produce for the summer. Frazier Farms focuses on the seasons by featuring the most appropriate and ripe produce for that time of year. In the summer, they highly recommend stone fruits and look to partner with the Central Valley
growers to offer the best variety. With fantastic access to fresh produce in California local relationships are essential when sourcing for the season.
Frazier Farms regulars will be happy to hear the Frazier Farms App is returning! Use the App to find local specials and store information. Patrons are also invited to visit their website: FrazierFarmsMarket.com. Stop by and check out Frazier Farms to see all they have to offer at 225 Vista Village Drive.
Recovery Program Keeps It Real...
Choices in Recovery
By Julie Smith TaylorBack in the 1990s, Steve Burgard, who passed away in 2014, created Choices in Recovery. It is a nonprofit outpatient program designed to provide evidence-based treatment and care to help those wanting to recover from any kind of addictive substance including drugs and alcohol.
“His vision was to keep it real,” says Assistant Program Director Chris Davis, “And that’s what we strive to do every day.” Davis and Choices in Recovery were honored as the 2024 Nonprofit of the Year at the Heroes of Vista Gala in March. He and his team of six full-time and four part-time staff members, along with eight others who make up the live-in staff within the six homes they run, serve 500 clients per year. “Our capacity at any given time is 30 for residential and detox, and 18 for sober living,” explains Davis. “We work here because we love this program. We can show people that there is an easier, softer way of living, but we all know life is a struggle and you need to learn to face it without a crutch.”
According to Program Manager Melanie Mott, who was recognized as a runner up for Woman of the Year in March by Senator Brian Jones says, “Clients have typically been incarcerated and are now out on parole or on probation. They are referred by their department or Health Right 360, one of the main funding sources that we use,” she explains. “We offer a reintegration program to help put their lives back together. It’s a transition from being in a jail cell to living in a home and able to live on their own. We help them by reintroducing basic life skills, getting a job and creating a healthy, daily routine. There are six people living in each house. This creates a small community in a regular neighborhood to help them feel normalized, but with 24/7 staffing.”
Davis adds that 75 percent of his employees are graduates of their program. “In the last five years, the legal system has embraced joint tenancy,” he continues. “This means people are now being placed in programs like Choices in Recovery vs. a long-term jail sentence. This approach helps people willing to do the hard work of focusing on living a sober lifestyle more successful. However, we can’t force people to stay or promise success because it’s all up to the individual,” he adds. “Sometimes we can convince them to stay the night or just talk and that can really make a difference. Ultimately, we provide a safe place and information so a person can learn about their addiction and stop using. We are a 12-step based program and our clients must have sponsors to work their steps. Our program also includes anger management classes, relapse prevention, one-on-one counseling and much more,” says Davis.
Terra White, an administrative assistant for the program and former chef teaches cooking classes and healthy food choices to clients. “We also provide regular outings to create fun times in a sober environment,” she says. “We go to the movies, bowling, and the beach pretty regularly, but transportation challenges and rising costs are ongoing issues for us.”
As members of the Chamber with a 31-year history in Vista on South Santa Fe Drive, Davis says its Chamber membership allows the community to get to know them better. “We’re proud to be part of the Chamber and the positive role we play in helping people live sober, stronger and healthier lives.”

While growing up on Camp Pendleton, Donnell Hilliard discovered his passion for cutting hair at a young age of fifteen.
Initially, he was cutting and experimenting with his own hair. Soon, he was giving haircuts to his cousins, friends, and later, after joining the military, he was cutting hair in the barracks. Inspired by the craft, he was determined to improve his hair-cutting skills.
A pivotal moment occurred when a friend offered him a job and a mentoring opportunity at a local barber shop, where he received valuable experience and tools to gain a deeper understanding of the barbering profession. After attending a barber school, he earned his license and decided to teach at the Associated Barber College, where he thoroughly enjoyed coaching and training a younger generation of aspiring barbers.
Donnell’s dream came true in November of 2022 when he opened his own barber shop, Kingdom Kutz, in the heart of downtown Vista. “Vista chose me! It was an opportunity that presented itself—the best decision I ever made!” As a business owner, he is excited to provide opportunities and to collaborate with other talented barbers. He explained, “The shop is a collective group of barbers with different skill sets. We work together to provide an amazing atmosphere.” Their success lies firmly in the commitment to provide extraordinary service to each client. “In a year and a half, we managed to round up about one hundred thirty 5-star reviews!” He is proud to offer the experience of going back to the old school, when barber shops were the center of the community. His barber shop provides a safe, comfortable, and friendly space for people to engage in conversations, laugh, vent, and enjoy a beverage, all while getting a personalized service.
Kingdom Kutz pampers their customers with many extras. “Every haircut comes with a hot towel facial.” They also provide classic shaves, beard trims, custom cuts, and creative designs. Making customers feel special is the daily
goal and a direct reason for their quick growth. Donnell said, “It’s a place where men can come in to feel like a king.” With the striking mural of a lion & tiger and the impressive luxury gold chairs, you, too, will feel like royalty! Donnell explained that just as lions and tigers are the kings of their regions, when customers leave his shop, he would like them to feel more confident, stronger, and powerful— ready to roam their own kingdom.
Despite his busy work schedule, Donnell often finds time to get involved in the community. Shortly after opening his business, he joined the Vista Chamber of Commerce. He also volunteers with a couple of non-profit organizations and offers free haircuts at local events. Due to the outstanding service and commitment to our community, Kingdom Kutz recently won the New Business of the Year Award! Just as Vista has welcomed them with open arms, they are excited to welcome you at 101 S. Indiana Ave., MoFri from 9 am-7 pm and Sat. from 9 am-5 pm. Unleashing the King Within–
One Cut at a Time
By Eva ReddingChick-fil-A Does More than Serve Chicken
Local Franchise Celebrates Two Years of Making a Difference
By Julie Smith TaylorIf you know Chick-fil-A Franchise Owner Operator Luis Gomez, you’ll see how much passion he has for his work. His restaurant just celebrated its second anniversary in Vista on April 13th with a special event, free food, prizes and a visit from the famous Chick-fil-A cow. It’s just one of several ways Gomez and his team of 100 employees strive to make a positive impact on each and every customer every day.
“I love my job for so many reasons,” says Gomez. “One of the main reasons is the influence I have on people’s lives. I love interacting with them and we have 1500 opportunities per day to do that! For me, it’s caring for a team member, doing community events for organizations, or helping a young person learn how to be professional and passionate in their first job as they strive to be a good student and a good person,” he says. “We’re not here just to make chicken, but to make a difference in someone’s life. People hug our staff members and I get compliments all the time about my team. That means we’re doing a good job, which is really important to me.” Today, 22 people are in leadership positions and another 20 are team trainers who strive to motivate and encourage team members to progress, embrace leadership principles that include being passionate, results-oriented workers. “You really can’t teach passion, but we encourage our employees to be their best, stay optimistic and strive to do better,” says Gomez. He prides himself on knowing each employee’s first and last names and a few factoids about them. “We

sit down with our employees every 90 days to evaluate their progress. It’s time consuming, but the kids like it because they want to see if they have progressed enough in order to get a promotion or pay raise.”
Gomez, now 33, married and with a new baby on the way, began his career with Chick-fil-A as a young college student studying engineering back in Texas. Up until then, he had only eaten at Chick-fil-A three times before accepting the job. Within six months he became an assistant manager and switched his major to Hospitality, Hotel and Restaurant Management. While going to school, he became a Director of Operations of three locations in Katy, Texas, working for Operator Rusty Wylie. He also got his foot in the door in the company’s field events as a New Restaurant Trainer before he graduated in 2016 from the University of Houston. By then, he was already doing grand openings across the country. In September of 2017, he became a Grand Open-
ing Supervisor, living out of suitcases while working as an Interim Manager at a variety of locations around the U. S. from Albany, GA to Stockton, CA.
“I completed the Leadership Program with Chick-fil-A Inc. in February of 2020, but Covid slowed my application process down. I decided to move to Fort Worth, Texas to work for Owner Operator Ken Miller as a Leadership Consultant,” he says. “In August of 2021 I was selected to become an Owner Operator of the new Vista location. At that moment, I had achieved my life goal of being an Owner Operator with Chick-filA. I was also thrilled to learn that I was coming to Vista,” he says. “I love the weather, the outdoors, being near a major airport, but most importantly, Vista felt like home. I grew up in a similar sized Hispanic community in Houston. There are so many familiarities to my
childhood home that I knew Vista was exactly where I wanted to be.”
Gomez, who was recently featured in the Chamber’s 40 Under 40 program and the recipient of Vista’s Large Business of the Year award at the Heroes of Vista Gala, was handed the keys to his new restaurant in March of 2022. “I look forward to coming to work every day,” he says. “Even when I’m on vacation, I can’t wait to get back. Being able to put a smile on someone’s face is what it’s all about. I believe it’s all part of glorifying God by being a faithful steward of all that I have been entrusted with and having a positive impact on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A”. Be sure to say hello to Luis the next time you’re at Chick-fil-A at 475 Hacienda Dr. in Vista!
The Vista Unified School District is committed to developing character, camaraderie and excellence through education-based athletics. The interscholastic athletic programs at VUSD high schools have demonstrated excellence this school year both on and off the field of play. New sports, such as, Girls Flag Football and Badminton have been developed based on surveying student interest and passion. With the growth of our programs we have been focusing on our theme for the year “Character”. Our studentathletes are engaging in character and leadership development programs and the results are

apparent. VUSD teams have captured over 11 league championships, a CIF team championship, a CIF individual championship, CIF state qualifiers, and many other awards, including All-CIF first and second team players this year. The high level of achievement and recognition in competition was enjoyed equally by both girls and boys student-athletes at the San Diego Section and State levels. We would like to thank our student-athletes, families, coaches, staff and administrators for their collective efforts to pursue excellence through education-based athletics.
Matt Doyle, Ed.D. By Julie Smith TaylorSince we featured Lisa De Jesus of ADU Gurus back in 2022, it’s been a whirlwind of nonstop community service, collaborations with colleagues, and an ongoing commitment to educate and inform realtors and homeowners about the value of ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Units) here in San Diego County.
In March, De Jesus was honored to receive the Heroes of Vista Business Person of the Year Award. “I was so touched,” she says. “I feel so acknowledged and appreciated.” As an active Chamber member from the start, De Jesus also just celebrated her five-year anniversary as a member of the Women’s Club of Vista. She also sits on the City of Vista’s Planning Commission and regularly shares her wealth of knowledge by educating real estate professionals – Realtors®, Brokers®, mortgage lenders and escrow/ title companies about ADU rules & regulations through her speaker presentations.
“I strive to be a great resource for anyone wanting to learn more about the value of ADUs,” she says. “Homeowners are staying where they are and so many have a lot of equity in their property,” she says. “If you have $200k-$350K in home equity, you can easily build an ADU and I can show you the feasibility, the valuation and the ROI by making the investment,” she says.
De Jesus can help people from “Concept to Keys” and spends most of her time on the concept.
“I discuss short-term and long-term benefits,” she explains. “The secret is to offset the equity loan payment through renting it out for the first few years and then refinancing your overall home loan when mortgage interest rates come

down again.” De Jesus believes we will see rates come down in the next three years. “With one-bedroom rental fees ranging from $1600$2,400 in North County, it won’t be long for you to recoup your costs.”
De Jesus offers a free, monthly e-newsletter where you can learn more about rates, rules and regulations. To subscribe, visit www.adugurus. com. You can also give her a call at 760-3131000. Or, stop by and see her at her booth at the 2024 Strawberry Festival. Perhaps an ADU is in your future?

CEA Brings Cleaner Energy Choices to the City of Vista
Clean Energy Alliance (CEA) will become the new default power provider for the cities of Vista and Oceanside, beginning April 1, 2024, joining existing members: Carlsbad, Del Mar, San Marcos, Solana Beach and Escondido. CEA follows a community choice energy model that allows local governments to purchase power to meet their community’s electricity needs.
As an alternative to San Diego Gas & Electric for power generation, CEA offers residents and businesses clean energy options and competitive rates while reinvesting revenues into projects and programs that benefit members’ communities.
The City of Vista has selected Clean Impact Plus (50% renewable/75% carbon-free energy content) as the default energy option for the city. However, CEA empowers customers with choice! Customers have the option to opt up to Green Impact 100% renewable, opt down to Clean Impact 50% renewable, or they may also choose to opt out of CEA and remain with SDG&E.
We look forward to bringing cleaner energy and local ontrol to Vista in April!
We look forward to brining cleaner energy and local control to Vista in April!

I highly recommend vista plumbing as they have been great to work with. Brooke was helpful and did all the scheduling and Ray was prompt and did clean efficient work and they got our re route done quick and I appreciate it. Good job and call vista plumbing if you want a honest and good plumbing company to work on your house. - Robert A.
We noticed water on the floor of the garage and could not figure out where it was coming from. We feared the worst – a slab leak. We called Vista Plumbing and Ray was here within the hour. He was very knowl edgeable and courteous and suspected that the leak may be coming from under the water heater platform. After a quick cut in the drywall his suspicions were confirmed. He had it fixed 30 minutes later. I would recommend Vista Plumbing to anyone. Thanks! - Tom N.
My home is no stranger to pin-hole leaks (this is the 4th one). Vista Plumbing came out in less than an hour and was done in an hour for a reasonable price. Very fast, efficient and courteous. I will definitely use Vista Plumbing again. - Janet
