have a chance to immerse themselves in the beauty of the ‘seventh art’ at the Zagreb Film Festival, the largest international film festival in Croatia. Sports fans, on the other hand, will get their dose of adrenaline at the Dražen Petrović Memorial and the Hanžeković Memorial.
Everyone is invited to join in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Picelj, a Croatian painter and artist who was one of the leading figures of abstract and Avantgarde art in the second half of the 20th century.
Calling all book lovers this autumn! From September 1st to 7th, literature enthusiasts will have a unique opportunity to delve into the richness of literary worlds at the World Literature Festival. Interliber is another ‘must’ for the book worms. This fantastic International Book and Teaching Appliances Fair is one of the largest of its kind in this part of Europe. Stephen King once said: ‘Books are a uniquely portable magic’, and that magic will certainly be felt at Interliber in Zagreb this November.

Basketball icon Dražen Petrović would have turned 60 in 2024, and a special memorial match will be held to pay homage to the legacy of the star who tragically passed away in 1993. The Croatian national team will take on a team of European all-stars coached by Željko Obradović, with many surprises and special guests promised for the event. The son of a police officer and librarian, Petrović was one of the best shooting guards on the planet before his passing.
