Free Tram Travel

The city’s Free Tram Zone includes the city centre and extends from Queen Victoria Market to Docklands, including Spring Street, Flinders Street Station and Federation Square. (Scan the QR code to view the Free Tram Zone and Melbourne Tram network map.)

Travel on the City Circle Tram (tram route 35) is also free. Hop on and off the historical trams as often as you like. Trams operate every 12 minutes in a clockwise direction between 9.30am and 5pm daily.

You don’t need a myki if you’re only travelling in the Free Tram Zone or on the City Circle Tram.
