Bistrot Vérité, owned and run by Marc and Michaela Vérité since 2009, fulfilling a dream of running a small, authentic French style restaurant. Having worked extensively in France, we hope to provide delicious French cuisine without any stuffiness or pretence, allowing customers to enjoy our food in a happy, homely atmosphere. We aim to delight with the sights, sounds, aromas and most of all, taste of great cooking and to feed people well. We put our heart and soul into it and want our customers to enjoy every mouthful, every moment. We are mentioned in all food guides which we are very proud of. The menu is always changing with seasonal quality ingredients sourced locally wherever possible and given a French twist. Starters might include soupe de poisons, Boudin Noir, paté & charcuterie and gambas a ail; main courses – rump of Bowland lamb with flageolets, turbot fillets, langoustine veloute, calves liver flambéed with Pernod. Desserts include fine French apple tart, crème brulée, crepes suzette and a selection of French artisan cheeses.

Open: Bistrot Verite is open for lunch from Wednesday to Saturday and open every evening from 5.30pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
