PORTEN TIL UNESCO VERDENSARV Et besøg i Vadehavscentret er en rejse gennem Vadehavets fantastiske landskab i selskab med millioner af trækfugle. Udstillingerne har internationalt niveau og giver et æstetisk og helt utroligt indblik i Vadehavet og trækfuglenes natur. Man får tillige forståelse for områdets kulturhistorie og særlige levevilkår. Alt sammen levendegjort af naturlige genstande, aktiviteter, levende billeder og med den mest moderne teknologi. Vadehavscentret fik prisen som ”Årets byggeri 2017”, fordi det på samme tid har organisk sammenhæng med den omgivende natur og har en særlig skulpturel identitet i den flade marsk. Vadehavscentret er porten til UNESCO verdensnaturarven, Vadehavet, og for alle en naturlig indgang til området, uanset om man alene besøger centret eller kombinerer det med en af dets mange tilbud om guidede ture.

THE GATE TO UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE A visit to the Wadden Sea Centre is like a journey through the unique landscape of the Wadden Sea in the company of millions of migratory birds. Aesthetically and in terms of content, the exhibitions are of international standard, offering a huge amount of information about the Wadden Sea and the world of migratory birds, plus an understanding of the cultural history of the area and the challenges of living there. All enlivened and enriched by natural objects, activities, living images and the most modern technology. The Wadden Sea Centre was given the ”Building of the year 2017” award, because it forms an organic unity with the surrounding nature, yet preserves its own sculptural identity in the flat marsh-land. The Wadden Sea Centre is the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Wadden Sea, a natural introduction to the area for anyone, whether just visiting the centre or combining a visit with one of the many guided tours.

TOR ZUM UNESCO WELTNATURERBE Ein Besuch im Wattenmeer-Zentrum ist eine Reise durch die fantastische Landschaft des Wattenmeers mit Millionen von Zugvögeln. Die Ausstellungen sind auf internationaler Ebene und geben einen ästhetischen und ganz unglaublichen Einblick in das Wattenmeer und die Natur der Zugvögel. Außerdem bekommt man Verständnis für die Kulturgeschichte der Gegend und die besonderen Lebensbedingungen. Das alles durch natürliche Gegenstände, Aktivitäten, lebende Bilder und mit der modernsten Technologie belebt. Das Wattenmeer-Zentrum hat den Preis ”Der Bau des Jahres 2017” bekommen, weil das Gebäude organisch mit der Natur verbunden ist und außerdem eine besondere skulpturale Identität im flachen Marschland hat. Das Wattenmeer-Zentrum ist das Tor zum UNESCO Welt-naturerbe, dem Wattenmeer, und für alle ein natürlicher Eingang zu diesem Gebiet, ungeachtet ob man nur das Zentrum besucht oder man den Besuch mit einem der vielen Touren kombiniert.
