DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE December 2025

SEASON'S GREETINGS Happy Holidays from all of us here at the Redmond Chamber of Commerce. As we dive into this festive season. I can’t help but think how blessed we are to live in Redmond. Redmond continues to grow rapidly, and the new construction is truly amazing. Beyond the beautiful bricks and mortar, it is the people that make Redmond such wonderful place to live. I encourage each and every one of you to shop our local merchants, both downtown and all around town. The best gift we can give one another is to support each other and to buy local.

with the help of Public Works the 26’ Blue Spruce was decorated from top to bottom. If you were able to attend the tree lighting, the Santa Super Switch 7000, which was constructed by local master craftsman, Lee Barker, again provided entertainment lighting up the pavilion and tree with the help of the Mayor and Santa. The Super Switch has been a tradition since 2018 and will continue to light up the holidays for years to come. The Holiday Village Market (started in 2007) and Starlight Christmas Parade were made possible by generous support of Redmond Industrial Park. The Redmond Industrial Park stores the kiosks all year long for the Chamber and Redmond Public Works helps set them in place each year in Centennial Park. Downtown lights started going up in the first week of November and are sponsored by Dustin Hewitt Windermere Central Oregon. The wrapping of the poles takes several days and are wrapped with the help of volunteer extraordinaire Teri Jansen

and me. Santa’s Mailbox was touched up and put into place the day before Thanksgiving, receiving its minor paint touch up and refurbishment. The Starlight Christmas Parade was a stunning triumph, with the largest crowd ever witnessed for this event. This amazing parade is hosted by the Redmond Chamber and the Chamber team started taking registration in July and again thank you to Redmond Industrial Park for your support. This event goes off seamlessly with the hard work and attention to detail by the Redmond Chamber team, Redmond Public Works and the Redmond Police Department.

Reach Business Leaders Directly in their Inbox

is much more likely to be seen and acted upon when placed in the Chamber’s email.

When it comes to promoting your business in Redmond, you want strategies that deliver results without draining your marketing budget. That’s why the Redmond Chamber of Commerce’s email advertising program stands out as a smart, cost-effective way to reach the people who matter most—local business owners, professionals, and community decisionmakers.

Unlike social media feeds where your ad competes with countless posts and distractions, or print ads that are easy to overlook, email offers a direct line into your audience’s inboxes. Readers choose to subscribe to the Chamber’s updates, which means they are already interested in what’s happening in Redmond and are more likely to pay attention to your message. It’s targeted, permission-based marketing at its best.

The Chamber’s Weekly Update email is sent every Monday morning to over 1,400 engaged subscribers, each of whom has a vested interest in Redmond’s business community. This isn’t a generic list—these are business leaders who open, read, and act on what they see. With an average open rate of 46.5% and a click-through rate of 7.2%, the Weekly Update far exceeds industry standards, where typical open rates hover between 20–25% and click rates average just 2–3%. Those numbers alone show that your advertising message

Another key advantage is the exclusivity of advertising placements. Each Weekly Update offers just three ad options— one Sponsored Content placement, one Premium Top Banner Ad, and one Lower Banner Ad. With only one advertiser featured per placement per week, your business won’t get lost in a sea of competing ads. Instead, you’ll stand out, making your message more impactful.

Sponsored Content is particularly effective for businesses looking to tell a story, share an offer, or highlight an event. With a 600x400 image, 100 words of custom messaging, and a clickable link, it’s an opportunity to engage readers with both visuals and content. Premium Top Banner Ads ensure your business is the first thing readers see when they open the email, maximizing brand recognition. Meanwhile, Lower Banner Ads offer an affordable way to get your message in front of a local audience, perfect for businesses looking for budget-friendly exposure. Beyond these placements, the value of Chamber email advertising lies in its community credibility. By advertising through the Chamber, you signal that your business is invested in Redmond and committed to supporting the local economy. That builds trust, strengthens your reputation, and encourages readers to choose your services over out-of-town competitors.

Finally, the Chamber’s email ads are affordable, starting as low as $25 per week for a Lower Banner Ad, making this opportunity accessible to small businesses and startups as well as established companies. With a required threeweek commitment, advertisers benefit from consistent exposure, helping build familiarity and drive conversions. In a time when every marketing dollar counts, the Redmond Chamber’s email advertising program offers a proven, targeted, and cost-effective way to connect directly with the local business community and get measurable results.
