In her final season, Timmer averaged 11.5 points per game and delivered a standout 35-point performance against University of Cincinnati, knocking down nine three-pointers, while finishing her career as a key contributor to teams that compiled an impressive 112–29 record.

Craig Nowotny dedicated 29 years as Activities Director at St. Thomas More High School, where he helped build one of the state’s premier athletic programs, highlighted by 30 state championships across multiple sports during his tenure. A lifelong coach with more than 50 years on the sidelines, Nowotny also served as an assistant on the school’s first state championship football team in 2025, further cementing his legacy of leadership, commitment, and excellence.

What started in the early 1970s as a simple idea to honor the athletes, coaches, and contributors who shaped Rapid City’s sports scene, has grown into a lasting tradition. Originally led by a group known as the OFFICIALS, the mission focused on recognizing those who built a legacy our community is proud of.
Today, that legacy continues to evolve through the Rapid City Sports Association. While the name has changed, the purpose remains the same in honoring the past while supporting the future of sports in Rapid City.
Signature events like the Rapid City Sports Recognition Banquet and the Rapid City Sports Hall of Fame continue to shine a spotlight on the individuals and teams who have made a meaningful impact, both on and off the field.
