JANUARY - APRIL

JANUARY - APRIL
The beginning of the year is always a great time to try something new. And thankfully, there’s no shortage of activities, festivals, concerts, sports and more to check out during the first few months of 2025 in Pittsburgh!
And with our See & Do Guide, you can easily find a list of the top events and plan your Pittsburgh itinerary. No need to waste time searching online, we’ve got them all in one spot for you! After all, we are the experts here at VisitPITTSBURGH.
If you’re planning a late-winter trip to the city, escape the cold by going big at Monster Jam and see giant trucks tearing up the dirt at PPG Paints Arena – or spend a quiet day finding out first-hand what makes our museums some of the top institutions in the country. Our Downtown Cultural District is also comprised of 14-square-blocks of restaurants, performance venues and unique galleries. Hop between fun restaurants, unique bars and art venues or join one of our weekend gallery crawls hosted by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
And any time of year is perfect to join the crowd of black and gold for some spectacular sports. Catch the Pittsburgh Penguins scoring goals or take in the city views from PNC Park and find out why it’s rated the No. 1 stadium in the MLB! Come on, be a local for the weekend.
As the weather warms up, you can mosey along Pittsburgh’s scenic riverwalk trails and view the stunning redbuds that dot the cityscape. They’re perfect for a #LovePGH selfie. Another great way to take in the Downtown skyline is on the water. There’s no greater view of the cionic Three Sister Bridges than via kayak or a Gateway Clipper tour.
And no Pittsburgh trip is complete without a ride up the side of Mt. Washington via our two inclines. Not only will you get a view of Pittsburgh not seen anywhere else, you’ll also get a quick ride to our city’s most scenic neighborhood and all of the great dining options it offers.
Regardless of what brings you to Pittsburgh, I have no doubt you’ll find an activity that’ll have you planning your next trip to the city. We can’t wait to have you back.
Jerad Bachar VisitPITTSBURGH President & CEO
The end of winter and beginning of spring are truly magical times in Pittsburgh. Nothing beats the gorgeous pink and purple hues that dot the city’s North Shore and Downtown as hundreds of redbud trees bloom. And as the city thaws, the rivers start to flow and fill up with kayakers, boaters and paddlers taking in some of the best and most unique views of the city.
