PITTSBURGH With summer beginning to sizzle out, it’s time to forge your fall adventure in Pittsburgh. This season is a gorgeous one in the city, packed with annual events and festivals, sports, and art exhibits that will spark something special this season. And with our See & Do Guide, you can easily find a list of the top events and plan your Pittsburgh itinerary. No need to waste time searching online, we’ve got them all in one spot for you! After all, we are the experts here at VisitPITTSBURGH. The fall means the return of one of Pittsburgh biggest staples: football season. The Pittsburgh Steelers ignite a passion throughout the city from the first kickoff of the season, and now is the perfect time to catch a game at Acrisure Stadium. With truly no bad seat in the house, you’ll experience the highest caliber football has to offer right in our backyard. You can make a day out of it, too—the Pittsburgh Pirates and PNC Park are just a few blocks away, as well as other beloved North Shore destinations like the Kamin Science Center, Rivers Casino, and the National Aviary. As winter comes into view, snow blankets the city, turning it into a winter wonderland. Magic ignites the city this season, and you won’t want to miss it. From holiday light shows and special displays at places like Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, it’ll feel like you stepped into another world entirely. Stick around for once-a-year events like Light Up Night and First Night, when downtown comes alive, celebrating the winter season with activities for the whole family. And make sure to make a day trip to a local ski resort to get your outdoor adventure on. And no Pittsburgh trip is complete without a ride up the side of Mt. Washington via our two inclines. Not only will you get a view of Pittsburgh not seen anywhere else, you’ll also get a quick ride to our city’s most scenic neighborhood and all of the great dining options it offers. While in Mt. Washington, brave the cold by taking a stroll along Shiloh Street and visiting some local shops. While you’re there, be sure to catch a sunset at one of the neighborhood’s many overlooks. Regardless of what brings you to Pittsburgh, I have no doubt you’ll find an activity that’ll have you planning your next trip to the city. We can’t wait to have you back.

With the holiday season, Pittsburgh ignites into a winter wonderland that will have you planning your return trip before you even leave.
