PITTSBURGH Happy New Year! 2025 has come and gone, and we’re so excited to welcome 2026 to the Steel City. This year promises an adventure around every corner, with new and big celebrations happening in our front yard, as well as the same events and festivals locals love annually.

And with our See & Do Guide, you can easily find a list of the top events and plan your Pittsburgh itinerary. No need to waste time searching online, we’ve got them all in one spot for you! After all, we are the experts here at VisitPITTSBURGH. Did you know Pittsburgh is hosting the NFL Draft in 2026? We’d be remiss not to mention it as a highlight of this spring. From April 23-25, thousands of people will flock to our city of multitudes to celebrate and honor the momentous occasion. The Great Lawn outside of Acrisure Stadium will host the event, but make sure to visit beforehand to see our massive countdown clock.

Speaking of sports, the Pittsburgh Penguins season is in full swing at PPG Paints Arena. Get out of the cold—at least a little bit—to take in a hockey game with one of the most iconic teams in the league.

There are plenty of promotions happening throughout the next few months, like the 2016 Replica Championship Ring and Hawaiian shirt giveaways, just to name a few. You don’t want to miss catching a game this season.

A classic activity that takes place throughout the region is outdoor ice skating. From the iconic rink at PPG Plaza to Schenley Park, to the North and South Hills, our rinks are perfect places to celebrate the season. Bundle up and grab your friends, plan a date night or bring the kids to enjoy this classic winter activity. Don’t forget to grab some hot chocolate afterwards.

And no Pittsburgh trip is complete without a ride up the side of Mt. Washington via our two inclines. Not only will you get a view of Pittsburgh not seen anywhere else, you’ll also get a quick ride to our city’s most scenic neighborhood and all of the great dining options it offers. Brave the cold by taking a stroll along Shiloh Street and visiting some local shops.

Regardless of what brings you to Pittsburgh, I have no doubt you’ll find an activity that will have you planning your next trip to the city.

FAIRS & FESTIVALS It might be cold outside, but our fairs and festivals are heating up. March means it’s time to get your green on with our annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, complete with parades and all the bagpipes you can jig to.
