Pittsburgh See and Do Guide Summer 2025

Page 1

SEE & DO MAY - AUGUST 2025

WELCOME TO

PITTSBURGH Between the rain and snow the start of the year brought, I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been craving a bit of sunshine. Well, summer is finally here, which means Pittsburgh is even more alive with activities, festivals, concerts, sports and more! And with our See & Do Guide, you can easily find a list of the top events and plan your Pittsburgh itinerary. No need to waste time searching online, we’ve got them all in one spot for you! After all, we are the experts here at VisitPITTSBURGH. If you’re planning to start your summer in our city of multitudes, there’s no better place to take in the city than from PNC Park. With Pirates season in full swing, Pittsburgh’s North Shore is bustling with different activities for all ages. Enjoy the breeze along the Riverwalk, or take a tour on the Gateway Clipper to enjoy all three rivers in one go. And when you’re at a game, be sure to grab some of the unique food items you can only get at our ballpark, like the Renegade Dog or the Polish Cannonball. May means music festivals are kicking off in our region, and there are many happening throughout the summer for all ages to enjoy plenty of genres. The Millvale Music Festival kicks off the festival season with 300+ acts of original music guaranteed to get you grooving. The Three Rivers Arts Festival is moving to a new location in the Strip District this year, but the quality of the event remains the same. And what’s Pittsburgh without Picklesburgh? Recently named the best specialty food festival in USA Today’s 10Best poll, Picklesburgh transforms Downtown Pittsburgh into a fermented festival of all things dill-icious. Last year, 250,000 people came to Pittsburgh for the three-day festival, so don’t miss out on the briny blast. And no Pittsburgh trip is complete without a ride up the side of Mt. Washington via our two inclines. Not only will you get a view of Pittsburgh not seen anywhere else, you’ll also get a quick ride to our city’s most scenic neighborhood and all of the great dining options it offers. Take the time to enjoy the warm weather by taking a stroll along Shiloh Street and visiting some local shops. Regardless of what brings you to Pittsburgh, I have no doubt you’ll find an activity that’ll have you planning your next trip to the city. We can’t wait to have you back.

WHAT’S HAPPENING Matt Shuck

Move over spring, because summer is officially here. Enjoy the beautiful view of downtown Pittsburgh from PNC Park while taking in a Pirates game, get a refreshing breeze on the Phantom’s Revenge roller coaster at Kennywood, and take advantage of not one, not two, but three rivers for a kayak or Cruisin’ Tiki tour adventure. Pittsburgh comes alive in the summertime, so let it thaw you out of your winter wardrobe and welcome you with sweet, sweet sunshine. 4 See & Do • What’s Happening
