Discover the all year round!

PITTSBURGH WELCOME TO

The summer season is always an exciting time in Pittsburgh— and 2026 is no exception. A new adventure is around every corner, with big celebrations happening in our front yard, as well as the same events and festivals travelers love annually.

With our See & Do Guide, you can easily find a list of the top events and plan your Pittsburgh itinerary.

It's an exciting time of transformation for Pittsburgh. One of the most anticipated new installments is Arts Landing, which will host the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival as its grand opening from June 5-7 and 11-14. Featuring hundreds of artists and musicians over seven days, this iconically Pittsburgh festival is one of the best ways to start your summer. The best part? The Three Rivers Arts Festival is free! Come on down and enjoy Arts Landing’s debut, and for the lineup of concerts and artists performing at The Three Rivers Arts Festival, keep an eye on our website.

This year also marks America’s 250th birthday, and the Steel City is a great place to celebrate. Our annual Independence Day party takes over the three rivers and beyond. Grab your reds, whites, and blues and take in our dazzling fireworks show from the vantage point of Point State Park, the North Shore, or Mt. Washington, just to name a few.

For those looking for a unique outdoor event, the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix returns to Schenley Park from July 11-19. The PVGP, celebrating its 44th anniversary in 2026, is the nation's largest vintage street race and the only one staged on public roads. And it’s not just the race that draws a crowd. Throughout the week, you can attend different events, like the Downtown Car Display, Grand Prix Garden Party at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, the Waterfront Car Cruise, and more. Kids 12 years and younger get free admission, so make Race Week a family affair.

And no summer Pittsburgh visit is complete without a trip to PNC Park to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates. Repeatedly named one of the most beautiful ballparks in the country, PNC Park hosts a gorgeous view of Downtown Pittsburgh and the Allegheny River. Try one of the unique food options at the park, like the Polish Cannonball, or head to one of the many bars and restaurants around the venue to grab a bite pre- or post-game. And after the game, you can explore the North Shore and the River Walk to soak up some sun.

Regardless of what brings you to Pittsburgh, I have no doubt you’ll find an activity that’ll have you planning your next trip to the city. We can’t wait to have you back.

NEXT! UP

WHAT’S HAPPENING

It’s time to look forward to what this summer has in store for Pittsburgh! Luckily, the warm weather means we’re eager to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. What better way to do that than at a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park? And just down the road in the North Side and across the way in Oakland and the Hill District, the 59th Carnegie International kicks off with this edition’s theme, "If the word we." We’ve got plenty for the people looking to embrace the summer months.
