To make your visit an enjoyable one Go on excursions along known and signposted tourist routes. Get information about the condition of the roads and access paths. Take your lodging information with you: name, address, phone number, and reservation code. Exchange money or withdraw cash from ATMs at banks or authorized stores. Do not accept help from strangers.

Wear cotton clothing, sports shoes, cap, sunscreen, repellent, and sunglasses.

You might be asked to show your identity document to enter tourist places and/or establishments.

Remember to carry an umbrella or a raincoat.

When registering your visit with Customs and Migration The only authorized checkpoints are in Santa Rosa (border with Brazil and Colombia), Pantoja (border with Ecuador) and at the Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport (Iquitos). The Border Control Posts (PCF, in Spanish) are open from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 to 17:00, and at the airport during international flight times.

If you are traveling with minors, remember to bring their respective IDs and permits to register their entry or exit from the country.
