GENERAL CONDITIONS. Our pricing is commissionable per person. Rates are in U.S. dollars. Exclusive rates for receptive market. Hotel will be reserved in a similar category in case there is not space at the selected hotel. Guide in English and Spanish. Other languages on request. Ask your account executive for private programs and customized programs. Consult for group rate.

NOTE: If the room is shared by a Peruvian passenger and a foreigner, the taxes on general sales will added to the room and it will be paid by the passengers. If a triple room is wanted please consult the type of accommodation. The waiting tolerance of shuttles are 15 minutes. After this time, there will be extra charges. Passengers who leave the hotel early in the morning need to consult if there is breakfast. Every passenger is required to have their personal documents at the start of the trip.

In Cusco: If passengers wish the train back to Cusco departing after 20:00 hrs, they must submit a written authorization to accept the schedule and add U.S. $ 20.00 per passenger per transfer schedules . Private guide service is considered when the passenger arrives at Machu Picchu after 11.00am . $ 60.00 up to 8 passengers . The guided tour of Machu Picchu lasts 02:30 hrs to 03:00 hrs. On the train ride to Machu Picchu, 01 purse or bag of 5 kg is allowed.

Huayna Picchu: For travelers who want to climb Huayna Picchu, it is recommended to buy the tickets in advance.

The Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu tickets (group 1) are the ones that run out the fastest due to the interests of hundreds of tourists to climb this mountain and due to the limited number of spaces that are for sale. The journey in this mountain takes about 2 hours, but it is an extraordinary adventure. The road to the top of Huayna Picchu is thin, but has been carefully crafted using platforms and other materials. The maximum capacity of people allowed to climb Huayna Picchu is 400 people per day (divided into two groups of 200 each). Group 1: Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu Ticket 07:00 – 08:00 hrs. Group 2: Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu Ticket 10:00 – 11:00 hrs.

Adventure: You must have good acclimatization and be in good physical conditions. Even though the trip is an adventure, it requires a lot effort. The Inca Trail must be reserved and paid in advance especially in the months of April through September. The Inca Trail only allows 500 entries per day (between tourists, guides, porters and cooks).

In the Jungle: In Iquitos, for the programs with hotel accommodation, buy flights that arrive before 10 am and on the return trip, buy flights after 5pm to avoid inconveniences. For more information consult with the counter. The most recommended flights for programs with accommodation in Puerto Maldonado, are between STAR 1181 – 1182 / LAN 2075 – 2076. LA 2081 – 2080 / LA 2071 – 72 are not recommended.

VALIDITY: Prices valid until December 2014 , except : Easter ( April 17 to 20) , Inti Raymi (June 21 to 25 ) , Independence Day (July 26 to 29 ) , Day of Arequipa (August 13 to 17 ) , Christmas and New Year, and other special events. Consult with your sales representative before confirmation.

CHILD POLICY (MINIMUM 2 ADULTS PER ROOM) Tariffs: 0-2 years old (Shares bed with parents and is not given breakfast). Tariffs: 3 to 9 years old (Individual bed and are given breakfast) The rates are only valid if the child is accompanied by two adults per room.

BOOKING POLICY: All requests for booking are done through e-mail. In the mail, please indicate the following information. Name and last name. DNI or passport, age, nationality, date of arrival and return date. Hotel name, details of the services to be provided. The total payment for the services must be paid before the start of the trip. Passengers must carry the Service Voucher and present it to our operations’ staff.

PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS Prices for cash payments and card payments please consult with our staff. Prices are subject to change without notice. Prices include taxes on general sales (18%). The total payment for the services must be paid before the start of the trip. Full payment of the package must be made within 15 days after the prepayment. Cancelations before 30 days prior to departure will be penalized with administrative expenses and according to the costs provided by each supplier. Cancelations within 30 days prior departure will be penalized with 100% of the total payment. Nonrefundable, non-endorsable, or non-transferable. No changes are allowed once the pre-payment is made. NO SHOW. In case the traveler does not show up for the trip, he or she will lost 100% of the total cost of the package.

Inca Trail must be reserved and paid in advance, especially if it is for the months of April to September (peak months).

Date of birth. Nationality. When booking the Inca Trail, you will also need copies of the passports.

Important: You must have good acclimatization and be in good physical conditions. Even though the trip is an adventure, it requires a lot effort. In case you need an extra porter to carry your baggage, consult with the company for costs.

Equipment allowed on Train (PeruRail): Each passenger can take a briefcase or backpack (5kg/ 157 cm)(length, width, height). Any baggage exceeding these measurements won’t be allowed in the train. Passengers must carry a baggage of the above measures, if planning to stay overnight in Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley.

Payments and penalties for canceling the Inca Trail: Payments and penalties for canceling Inca Trail: When booking the Inca Trail or the entrances to Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu, a nonrefundable deposit is required.

Payment must be made as soon as the trip is booked. The Inca Trail excursion is confirmed once the payment has been done.

Health: The main problem that the hiker can encounter is high altitude. We recommend taking coca tea upon arriving at Cuzco. All hotels and public places offer it and some hotels provide it free to their customers. Drink plenty of water during the trip. Avoid eating excessive fat or heavy food that takes a while to digest. During the Trek, walk slowly on the first day and avoid using energy on other useless things. If you smoke, try to reduce it as much as possible during the trip. Feel free to stop and rest if you lack oxygen. Tell your guide if you have any discomfort. He or she is trained and can assist you. Although water is potable in most of Peru, its chemical and bacteriological composition changes by location. To avoid problems, we recommend you to drink bottled water.

Payments And Cancellation Penalties For The Inca Trail: When booking the Inca Trail or the entrances to Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu a non-refundable deposit is required. Payments must be made as soon as the trip is booked. The Inca Trail excursion is confirmed once it has been paid.

IMPORTANT: ATIPAX PERU can make changes to the order of the excursions due to weather conditions, river water levels, arrival and departure times and for any other relevant reason. This is to make the trip coordination as best as possible.

Prices are subject to change without notice due to availability, monetary adjustments or final modifications to the itinerary and services. The trip can only be ensured once it is booked. ATIPAX PERU will send a written settlement so that travelers can proceed with payments. After this, ATIPAX PERU will send the travelers a confirmation through EVOUCHER. According to Decree Law No. 919, foreigners and non-Peruvian residents who have a stay of no more than 60 days are exempt from the taxes on general sales (18%) only if the original passport along with the Andean Immigration card (TAM) (properly sealed) has been presented. Otherwise the person cannot be exempted from the taxes according to the Law. This only applies to individuals.

De acuerdo al Decreto Ley Nº 919, están exonerados del 18% de IGV los extranjeros y peruanos no residentes en Perú que tengan una estadía de máximo 60 días al año y con previa presentación del pasaporte vigente junto con la Tarjeta Andina de Migración (TAM) debidamente sellada. Caso contrario la persona no podrá ser exonerada y se aplicará el I.G.V correspondiente según Ley. Esta exoneración es efectiva sólo para personas naturales.
